I beat one of Dark Souls 2's Hardest Challenges

I beat every boss in Dark Souls 2 without using a bonfire! I also did it with Company of Champions (which pushes the game's difficulty into NG+ equivalent) and without dying! Since it was permadeath, if I died or sat at a bonfire, I had to start over with a new character!

The reason the game calls Wyverns "dragons" is because by this time, the proper 4 winged (dark souls lore, see intro to Dark Souls 1) 4 legged Ancient Dragon's are extinct, and have evolved to the 2 winged 2 legged Wyverns you see here, but the common folk continue to call them "dragons," so the name stuck. The Ancient Dragon boss isn't even a dragon, but a piece of petrified dragon bone fused with the soul of a giant created by Aldia to revive the race of dragons

I was wondering why he intentionally broke his Grand Lance on the bird nest but then I remembered he can't sit at fires to repair to durability so he has to break a weapon completely then repair it at the smith.

What a challenge! Great work. I did a super tough challenge, but got stymied on Throne Duo. Ladle-only. CoC. And the most important part-> VANILLA!! Vanilla cranks up the Ladle-only run to 11. Because the Dull Ember is after Mytha. Burning the windmill barely helps, since your pitiful damage gets out-healed by her poison. Scholar Ladle-only lets you get a Mundane Ladle after just one boss, which can be cheesed with ballistae. Just reload a new start until the Things Betwixt small smooth and silky trades for mundane. You’ll have to do that in Vanilla, too, unless you’re a masochist. I’ll be honest. I gave up on Mytha, and used every firebomb I had found. She was a run-ender. And I wanted to keep going. I truly don’t know if she can be beat Ladle-only CoC Vanilla.

The power ranges Avelyn with those rings was disgusting but I do miss it. 360 era DS2 is honestly my favourite souls experience

For anyone curious, there is no true dragons in DS2. There are a bunch of lesser drakes and wyverns. The Ancient Dragon is the closest, but even then, it drops a giant's soul and no a Dragon soul. I honestly could not tell you what that means or why it gives you the ability to go into the past. Dark Souls is weird, and time is even weirder in the DS world Mistranslations, poorly explained lore, and confusing design all play a part in this.

Its actually pretty simple, they were all created by Aldia while doing research on the everlasting dragons, and the dragons themselves created the emeral herald, now as for sinh seems like he was just a random dragon

ds doesnt have wyverns, it has everlasting dragons, dragons and drakes. the everlasting dragons were stripped of their scales and mutated, and the drakes are their inferior descendants. the big differences are that everlasting have 4 wings and 4 legs, as they mutate they often lose a set of wings (the gaping dragon is one exception), and drakes are what we call wyverns.
