@@lordium1848 hope that makes sense, I just finished the full boss gauntlet and that is definitely how I got through it, it just takes time to learn all of the combos and positions to be in to trigger certain attacks. Sekiro is my first FromSoft game and I was stuck with Lady Butterfly for such a long time that I started to think that maybe it is too difficult for me. Seeing video actually gave me faith that parry is a huge part of this game and it is designed in a way that players can get through most of it with parry. This guy plays better with his feet and a dance mat than I do with my hands and a controller. I probably still need to die more times than he does using his feet, but at least I feel confident enough to keep trying and is not ashamed of dying so many times now. And I did get past her!

This wasn't a speed run, and even if it was it wouldn't be a good "speed"run because it took 11 hours for whats usually a 1 hour long route. A good challenge run though, extremely impressive but not the MOST impressive.
@whatislife233
@whatislife233 2 жыл бұрын
@@juliebelle1756 I don’t think you get how speedrun categories work. I doubt that many people have even done a DDR pad run, and 11 hours would likely be a good time for a speedrun like this for a first attempt, even if it is a super long route, and this was glitchless (and I assume 100%). Also this game can be completed in under 20 minutes on controller, so an any% ddr run would probably be like 2 hours or so at maximum efficiency.

@slinpel3801
@slinpel3801 3 жыл бұрын
@@gaup9986 I don't understand the game journalists saying the game is too hard, it's harder than the other FROM games imo, but not unfair. But you also have to consider how game journalists are reviewing games. They get an early copy and almost no time to beat the game (pretty hard to make a review without having played through it), then also have to write an article about it, have that proofread, corrected etc. They are under a huge amount of stress and often don't even get to decide which games they review, based on the company of course. Playing a very hard game that you maybe don't even want to play in a extremely limited time frame and writing a sophisticated article about that is not an easy task. Many aren't that good in video games, as they have to play a ton of different ones and don't have the time to learn them properly. Still, the ones that didn't account for the audience of the game (not intented for casual gamers) made a mistake with that.
