In my opinion despair is the hardest one of them all but the biggest misconception that people have is that dodging isn’t supposed to be spammed like this. There is a delay on attacking which makes things harder, but attacking is pretty much useless when all you can do is dodge since you have the possibility of spamming it. If there was a 2 second cooldown on dodging it would had been perfect considering that you get an attack every 5 seconds which CAN interrupt the bandit’s attack and they attack EVERY 6 seconds. So if there wasn’t the possibility to spam space bar then of course this level would had been the hardest one since you’d have to use both abilities wisely (I have beaten the song without spamming so I know what I’m talking about)

​@@raig-official despair actually gets harder the more times you lose on it. the scroll speed gets faster, more death notes appear, etc. this is why some people find it really easy to beat, while others try for hours lose on despair about 50 times on purpose and then try beating it without closing and reopening the game, it's definitely more of a challenge

why is everyone shocked he beat despair first try? Despair’s easier then bad time, mainly because there isnt a lot of ways to ramp up the difficulty of bendy’s mechanics and week, it already got near the max all it is is harder charting than the week, which with enough practice you can beat easily, however sans has mechanics that can be layered upon, like how the bones now have a blue version which requires you to not dodge, and also the absolute rage inducing bone notes, overall sans’s mechanics has a higher difficulty ceiling then bendy’s.
