Since Western horror games don't spook me anymore, I've decided to look somewhere else. That's why we're checking out Closing Shift, a Japanese horror game about a girl finishing her shift in a café.

Once you take into account of this, you’ll start to understand that this can apply to anyone. The fear of being stalked and home invasions in the middle of the night without you really knowing it is going to happen right in front of you is paranoiac. It’s not paranormal, it’s realistic, and it can occur at any moment.

I feel alot of those situations in the game could've been avoided for example maybe don't leave your house in the middle of the night just cause the cable is out. Also when you throw a break at a potential killer make sure dude is dead cause if you don't 99 percent of the time they do come back. But overall yea I agree situations like this do happen in real life so regardless of age or gender stay strapped

I know this is "not that deep, it's just a video game" but this sort of stuff is a real world issue. And while maybe not always this extreme, it's not as uncommon as you'd think. If this made you uncomfortable to watch, you now have an inclination of how a lot of women feel on a daily basis - always paranoid of your surroundings, forced for accept inappropriate comments and harassment because "it's a compliment", compromised privacy, etc. Important to remember however is that stalking happens to men and women alike. Mental illness doesn't have a gender. Regardless, thank you for your content as always, Connor. Though this one made me uncomfortable for personal reasons, you still made it funny. Your videos and streams always make day a bit better.

It's important to learn personal defense and also carry some type of defense weapon with you such as gun, knife, pepper spray. Also jobs that are open between 1am-5am should have 2-3 people on shift. People might think it's overboard but I personally would feel safer with these things implemented. Also if you're a customer don't be a freaking weirdo to employees. We just trying to do our job and go home to our loved ones. I don't want to see you half naked dancing, I don't want to hear your life story. Just buy your shit and leave

This reminds me when I worked in Macy’s store in the home goods department. It was a closing shift I was alone that night. There was a set of knives displayed and they weren’t secured. One strange looking man, the only customer in the entire department, was roaming around for a long time. Closing time was coming up soon, I approached him to see if he needed any assistance. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, “if I wanted to, I could pick up any of those knives and kill a pretty young lady like you….” I was terrified. I nervously laughed it off and lied to him telling him the knives are actually glued down and not even sharp. I excused myself quickly and directly went to my managers offices, locked the door and notified security right away. Thankfully I arrived home safe and requested to never be assigned a closing shift again. I was only 16.

Triple half-caff iced venti breve sugar-free caramel macchiato with whip, nonfat quad grande raspberry mocha no foam, tall americano with soy milk and ice on top and one and a half pumps of syrup, and a small hot chocolate for a toddler that's not too hot but not cold and not too sweet but not unsweet. This is one person and there are 5 more people behind her, all getting increasingly impatient, and one repeat customer that always flirts with you and tips you really well is looking like you owe him faster service because he slipped a 5$ bill into your tip jar with "you're beautiful" written on it the previous day. That's true horror.

Tbh japanese horror games hit way harder than those wanna be jumpscare games, just because those things can happen to everyone so easily
@vt_hikaru
@vt_hikaru 2 жыл бұрын
That's because the other horror games tend to be of supernatural origin which most believe is more unlikely to happen compared to psychological horror which can happen to anyone at any time

Mudan and team! Constructive criticism: the thumbails could be better. A lot of them kinda look low effort and really don't give any indication of the video you're going to watch. The editing is always top-tier it's a shame to see thumbails and sometimes titles that don't live up to the video itself... No hate seriously I want to see you guys succeed these are just my thoughts for a little while best of luck

The sheer amount of coffee making in this game is perhaps to invoke the innate fear of a serviceman, giving bad customer service in Japan making this horror game unmistakably Japanese
