Being a parent is the hardest, most awarding thing out there! You guys are doing a great job at being honest and being aware. My daughter is now 11! (Wowz) and I just remind myself to be the adult I never had growing up. At the end of the day, it's about doing good and being good. I literally just had this conversation with penny (our daughter) that when she decides to leave our home its her choice to go down a good path or bad. I'm here to teach her what will happen if she takes whatever road.. and hope she has listened and I've thought her something growing up.

Josh, I love you guys see much and the love you have for Sav and that baby girl! ❤. As a way man who grew up watching trout a father (his choice) and the mother of 3 girls. I had NO IDEA what being a parent looked like and NO CLUE what a father daughter relationship looked like. Being a parent is the hardest thing you’ll ever do but the greatest gift you will ever be given. I can tell you now a few things to help. #1 it is hard on a marriage! Kids take all the energy you have and they’re messy and when you just want to sleep one night for say… 6 whole uninterrupted hours 😂😂 NOT! When you can take no more they will crawl up in your exhausted lap with the book you’ve read 100 times that day and say dada! You will melt like hot butter and read Little Blue Truck 3 more times. #2. Just when you think you can sneak in 5 min alone in the bedroom while they have been playing in the yard for an hour THERE WILL BE BEATING ON THE DOOR! They will crush your time for two! Trust me you will tell the story a million times regarding the actual FEAR of being caught by a 4 yr old ! Along with every other parent you know! They will weasel their way into your bed…and your heart will feel like it’s going to burst when you wake up to that face right in yours and the smell of that sweet baby breath or you just want to squeeze her because you love her so much. #3 Watch and learn! I saw my best friends dad bring his girls each a heart shaped box of candy on Valentines Day… I had no idea dads did that, my son in law brings my granddaughter flowers when he buys them for my daughter on Sweetest Day and other days. He does housework and argues with my daughter then he teaches my grandsons what it’s like to love and respect the women he loves by apologizing, making her take time for herself. They take time for their marriage, they have dates, she surprised him with a week away to the beach just the two of them for their anniversary. Parenting is learning everyday. None of us knew what we were doing and we get it wrong ALL the time and we learn to be better. My youngest is 31 and I have 4 grandbabies who I’m pretty sure are all angels NOT! Their parents are learning and laughing and are exhausted and their homes are lived in and my grandchildren are so loved and cherished and rotten and funny and everything wonderful in this world. You and Sav have everything you will ever need… love, respect and most importantly God. You will never stop worrying, you will always do something wrong, you will always ALWAYS be a great dad because I know you will be in your best suit for that father daughter dance, you will always be screaming on the sideline for your son when he hits that 3 pointer you will always be there and really that’s all they need is you to be there for their mom and them. You’ve got this in the bag! Thank you for being such a great example to everyone watching and thank you for reading my 1st novel!😂. With love and genuine respect for the family you and Sav are rocking! Continue to follow that soft heart and Gods strength in all things.

My little boy was born October, 2018 and his daddy passed away December, 2018. It’s been a rough and tough ride without him. We miss him so much. I just wish he was here to experience being a parent with me. You are both doing awesome as first time parents! I love your videos! ❤😊

Josh I'm a parent to a 27 and 24 year old. My advice is just as long as she knows you love her and you work hard every day to give her the best life that is all that matters. My children turned out well. My son is a nurse practitioner and my daughter ( who watches your you tube also) is finishing her masters degree to be a therapist. I know I have made some mistakes along the way- like maybe I should have done something else in certain situations or said something else but we aren't perfect. We stumble and fall but I know my children turned out to be respectful bright adults, even making a few mistakes along the way ❤

Oh yeah... it's NO JOKE being a single parent! Doing it by myself day in and day out plus not having the financial support of the other parent scarred me so bad that I didn't want anymore kids. So I STOPPED at ONE! He's 24 now and I don't regret it. It still was the hardest job I've ever had!
