@SamDaDude antiheal reduces your healing as a multiplier, not a subtraction :) You had (because of the cap) 80% AA lifesteal and 15% ability lifesteal. Reducing those by 80% means that when all his antiheal is on you, you effectively have 16% AA lifesteal and 3% ability lifesteal. Fun related fact - Cad Club healing increase works as 'negative antiheal'. Let's say an enemy has Brawlers and you have Cad Club, they have 40% antiheal but you have 30% healing increase so the overall result is that your healing is reduced by 10%. And if you build 80% lifesteal and then slap on a Cad Club when there no antiheal you effectively have 104% lifesteal.

@@robreja1377 because Cad Club (and Asclepius) aren't 'you gain 30% lifesteal, what they do is 'you heal for an extra 30% of your current healing'. So it's not 30% as a flat amount to add, it's 30% OF whatever you currently have 🙂 80% + (80% x 30%) = 80% + 24% = 104%

i’m bad at duel and a little high rn but at 4:27 i would’ve dashed over to the blue (to get to the corner), taken one long shot at the blue buff holder, (they would’ve ran over quickly to the corner which i’d be standing in), then used my 2 and cleared it. would that have gotten cern the blue buff before fenrir? i think so. did i create a better play than sam!

I believe the overcap on lifesteal doesn't actually do anything. It seems you heal for 80% of your dmg, then antiheal is applied. So if you do 100 dmg the 80hp heal it would normally do is reduced by 80%. So it would only heal for 16 instead of 80

I think you added the lifesteal % from Devo's twice. You added 22.5 + base 15, then added 40.5 (22.5 + 18)

@SamDaDude im pretty sure its the following; if you hit for 100 dmg you would lifesteal for 80 hp, that in return is reduced by 80% so you heal for 16. my reason is; if you build 135%LS and get ulted by osiris,odin or serqet. you dont heal at all. not for 35%

Yeah it reduces the amount you heal by a % not the amount of life % life steal you have by a %. Its why Anubis and dmg Hades sucks so hard late game. Just get divine and a hunter with anti heal and they suddenly have 0 survivability.

On the note of removing ranked modes or modes in general, I dont think that will push more than like 20% of those players to ranked conquest, they would either try casual or just stop playing full stop. Those ranked modes are so so far removed from conquest in any way that they dont transfer much in terms of enjoyment. In regards to conquest tbf it is just a really intimidating mode in generally and incredibly unfriendly to new players or learning in general. By the time you get to the next game its been a good 20-40min since the beginning of the last game making actually learning very difficult. The end game is usually decided by one single fight, the map is giant and incredibly complicated and everything is either stomp or micro manage. Add to that people get incredibly salty in those modes and having one off player can cost you the game out right, it actively pushes new and learning players away. Its why I stopped bothering to try and learn the mode, the learn cycle is too damn slow and over complicated and you need hundreds of matches before match making gets anywhere close to acceptable. Most players dont have the patience to deal with awful games 100-200 games in a row in the hopes that match making will finally kick in and let them learn the mode at a higher than base level.

It's a mode that is just micromanaging for up to an hr whilst incredibly slow. No other mode is like that. Thus anyone who likes slow micromanaging farming games decided by matchmaking shenanigans and one fight are already playing it. Casual players have no place in the mode and that's fine.

I do agree that having all 3 modes properly balanced would help a ton. In a way, I see the difficulty of getting into ranked (in an ideal world) as duel being the easiest, joust being sort of intermediate, and conquest as the hardest. So, by balancing duel and joust, more people would get into the ranked scene more. And I bet they will when UE5 comes out. I'm optimistic for smite 2, and I truly believe Hirez and Titanforge will make an objectively better smite.

I don't think it's unrealistic for them to put in debuffs and buffs on characters depending on the game mode you're in. Like kali gets a lifesteal debuff in dual but not in other modes.

In terms of strictly gameplay, the fun duel games I’ve played in smite are the most fun I’ve had in a pvp game. But I don’t play it now and haven’t in the last 2 seasons because the same couple matchups depending on meta get so old. So much potential but so little fun havers because if you don’t play the meta and the opponent does the level of outplay required to win is just awful.

Balancing for different modes that are secondary would force people to learn a different game especially when you start to implement new items and tweaking characters even you yourself said duel helped you learn conquest I don’t think if duel were balanced around the mode itself you would have been able to transfer your skill as clearly forcing you to build differently and relearn character limits although you are right when you said they should make a decision to balance it or remove it I personally don’t care what they do but those are just my initial thoughts and it may be a hot take

Sam i have to tell you that i had this issue with smite When i started smite in 2015. They start u with arena which i think is a very big mistake.I played arena till 30 and then went to assault to have some fun.tried all the modes joust seige was okay as soon as i went in duel i get shit on and messaged noob leave this game and delete pc my first duel game lol .i was new lol of course i would be bad ,this was when i didnt even know how to respond messsage them.I went to conquest played jungle.everyone blamming me that i was shit and should go play arena and others modes before playing normal conquest lol.How am i gonna learn if my first game they tell me to go play other modes cause i am bad.Either ways current day i Am assault main with 98 percent games one asssault one conquest one duel game and i am so scared to ever try duel or ranked conquest ever again.i am just scared to even try it cause i have diamond on almost 30 gods and imagine going in wirh diamond god and getting shit on i wont be able to handle the insults anymore.i wanna learn them so bad but i never got a chance and i think it might be too late to learn i am almost level 150 with 1 conquest and one duel i only pkay assault 😢

This game is toxic because the matchmaking is absolutely terrible. I lose most of my games not because the enemy players were better, but because my teammates play worse than stupid bots. Shitty matchmaking leads to terrible games, which in turn leads to aggression and toxicity.

I don't think balance is going to change anything about the smite player base. I think smite came into the scene a little too late. League who has the deepest pockets as far as moba's go, is the same way. There are always top picks and bans and there are always bad match up. I think it is just part of the game when you pin two characters with different abilities against each other. If you balanced everyone, there would be no use in counter building at all. League has 32 times the net worth that Smite has and even they can't balance the game in that way and they only have 1 ranked mode...

Like a lot of free stuff. Premium Battle passes are basically for free since you get the gems weekly and get gem return in the battle pass. Always free skins and cosmetics and other free stuff. Someone they still have to make money that's where the prices come from

Im confused…. Cos smite offers unbelievable amounts of offers, including 600 gems for 3 skins on 3 different gods. Gem sales all the time. Battlepass barely costs anything….600 gems. Chests ALWAYS go on sale from 400 gems to 200gems. Smite is the most affordable F2P game ive ever played tbh.
