“I Believe”
There was a man who walked the earth.
Healing sickness and brokeness at every turn.
Made blind eyes see and deaf ears hear.
I believe, I believe, I believe in Him.
Some say he comes from Galilee.
But He says “I come from a place beyond your wildest dreams. And if you want to come with me you only need to do one thing. Follow me”
I believe in Christ the Son who was the word revealed in human flesh.
I believe in the one who forgives every single wrong I’ve ever done.
I believe in the one who shed his blood and died for me.
I belive, I believe, I believe in Him.
I believe in the one who chose silence and restraint.
As they nailed him to that tree and spat and mocked his divinity.
I believe in the one who in the face of suffering said “Father, forgive them”
I believe in Him. Oh I believe in Him.
There was a man who walked the earth.
Spreading joy and good news to the poor.
And he did this willingly knowing he would die.
What kind of love is this? What kind of king is this?
repeat chorus
It was the third hour, when the nails went into his flesh.
And the end had started, of his redemptive plan.
Nothing could stop him now, no not even death.
I believe, I believe, I believe in Him.
It was the sixth hour when darkness came overhead.
Our savior hung there, a crown of thorns on his head.
Beaten and bloodied, rejected by man.
I believe, I believe, I believe in Him.
It was the ninth hour, when he spoke those final words.
Setting us free from the one who rules this world.
“It is finished!” It is done!
What kind of love is this? What kind of king is this?
King Jesus. King Jesus. King Jesus.
I believe in Him. King Jesus. I believe in Him. King Jesus. He is risen, He is alive.
