The 2nd episode foreshadowed the end results. Ali ran away with the money, sae-beuk had the throat etc, tattooed guy fell from the bridge, sang-woo unalived himself and 456 swore on his mother’s life, and the old man appeared out of nowhere and met with 456.

Most reactors object to various parts of the game violating the fairness rule, and in any moral view of fairness lots of things do. But that doesn't seem to be what the organizers mean. They simply mean the assumed fairness of rules being applied equally to all people. When they change the lighting in the Glass Stepping Stones arena, it's completely unfair to deprive the guy of his ability to tell the difference, but it's still "fair" in that all players are exposed to the same situation. When they explode the glass and Sae-Byeok receives a fatal injury outside the the game that's morally unjust and unfair, but it's "fair" in that all players who made it across are exposed to the same deadly possibility. It's like that throughout the game. The writer designed this to be a critique of social systems including how unfair the "rules" frequently are when applied equally to all people regardless of individual differences, resources and advantages.

30:40 i completely disagree. Theyve been using shady and purposely vague language. "Eliminated" isn't going to translate to any sane person as "killed". They've purposely preyed on the most vulnerable and desperate in society for their own entertainment.

Nah what I’m saying is if they just killed over 200 people then what makes you think that they will just let you go? That’s what I was saying. Even if they didn’t understand that “eliminated” meant “killing” they do NOW in this moment. So for me it’s like a wake up call for them to know that this isn’t just some fun silly game. It’s the real deal and they’re not afraid to kill you during it.

Oh regarding Sang-woo shoving the glass manufacturer forward so he could save himself, I'm not even sure it was that smart a move overall. It worked because the guy fell on regular glass. Now imagine if he'd fallen on toughened glass. Suddenly you have this guy sprawling there, trying to get up, pissed at you, and knowing he's not going to make it in time while you have to jump onto the platform he's trying to get up from, avoid tripping over him, and avoid being attacked by him. That requires beign careful and lucky and able to fight off an attack which isn't happening in those dying few seconds. He probably had as much chance jumping ahead of the guy and guessing himself and more if he yelled at the guy to move it and guess before the clock runs out.

14:55 I think it's reasonable to believe that a child should stay with their mother unless she is abusive or smth, that's the person who went through pregnancy and labour afterall at the very least and most often is most involved in child-rearing, but South Korea is quite patriarchal and from what I've heard (on the Internet, admittedly) the legal practice is generally on the father's side in child custody cases, especially if mother is a foreigner.

I would heavily recommend alice in borderland! It's got a few similarities to squidgame, although it has a very different narrative. The two often get compared. I'd say if you like squidgame you'd probably like AIB, but don't go into AIB expecting squidgame, if that makes sense. It's my favourite show, currently has 2 seasons and is getting a 3rd!

The first episode literally made me sick to my stomach. Not the game, but seeing the sad awful situation gi-hun was in. It felt too real. The manipulation tactics on the part if the game also made me sick. Its really common for people like this to be preyed upon by those with ill intent irl. It leads to law enforcement also neglecting any efforts to search for them when they do go missing or end up dead.

It's so realistic and the characters plus storyline is fantastic. It was #1 KZbin trending in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh 24/7. I started to watch you with the first video of your exo journey. So, I want my favourite reactor to watch that drama after one of the ongoing series that you're watching ends. Please don't force yourself if you don't have time or are busy. 32:28 my family had already watched it and showed me the first episode when i went and visited them. As soon as they showed that each death means more $ i KNEW that would mean people would end up purposely killing each other to add to it.
