I Blew My First Funded Account in 8 DAYS

I started trading recently with only little knowledge. I got lucky 2 times catching a hype train early on and going 250% on one trade and then 40% on another. Fast forward a few days and I am down to a fraction of what I started with. The beginner luck in this case completely ruined me and gave me the impression that it's a lot easier and that I could just wait for the next hype and catch it in time. Currently trying to learn everything I can about it to slowly make back my losses. I am also way to greedy and always hope to snatch 15 or even 20% trades.

I always revenge trade… EVEN THOUGH I KNOW NOT TO!! I would reach like 7.5% profit and then blow it all away 💀 I’m forcing myself to not be able to revenge trade / gamble by only buying swing trading accounts that provide way less leverage. That way I physically can’t take large trades even if I want to. I’m also trying to trade on the 1-4 hr time frame, and I’m also forcing myself to check my trades less. I just subscribed, and I’ll try to keep myself accountable as well as I watch your updates haha Good luck bro!

Your only mistake was trying to use a prop firm. Complete scam. It seems like all the actually consistent long term profitable traders are in stocks.

I see how you could think that. However I do believe that using prop firms as an entry point to futures trading is a smart choice rather than personal capital. Allows you to feel emotionally attached to the account balance where as a demo account there are virtually no emotional battles involved. Only downside risk is the eval fee. Passing these evals is very possible and maintaining a funded account is too but it does require extreme discipline and hyper awareness
