Hi Randy, I had a 92 geometric hardtop. Those cars had 55 hp. Mine was an automatic and had air. You couldn’t keep the air running too long because it would make the car just overheat because it couldn’t handle it originally they had 12 inch rims with tires. I upgraded to 13 inch wheels. I had the same wheels that you have on the yellow one which I believe were American racing wheels. I love you to see you fixing this up. Brings me back to my very first days of driving in my first car.

All of the convertibles had 13" wheels as all of the 1995 and later models and with 12mm studs, while the 12" wheels used 10mm studs.. All had 55 horsepower except the XFi models which had 49 horsepower, but more fuel efficient than the base models. Base models had 4:10 gears, XFi had 3:79 gears, and convertibles had 4:39 gears. Later 1995+ models with the G13 engines had 3:52 gears.

I bought a 95 Geo Prism LSi (w/ the big engine.. All 1.8 liters) in 1999. It turned 50,000 miles on the test drive. It was the first car I had that was less than 10 years old and had less than 100,000 miles. His name was Steve. We had him for 7 years and added 120,000 + more miles on the clock. He safely drove my first baby home from the hospital in 2004. The only thing I ever did besides normal maintenance was replace the alternator and had a friend rebuild the starter. My husband flipped it on its side on the interstate. We fixed it and then sold it to my nephew who totaled it when he rear ended somoene. Steve didn't get anywhere in a hurry, but he was a great car.. R.I.P. Steve..
