Your package of zip-ties are probably seals for tractor-trailer doors After the trailer is loaded and the doors are closed, the seals are put through holes in the door handles and snugged up to show the receiver that the trailer hasn't been opened en route to the receiver. The doors can't be opened without breaking the seal. The numbers are recorded on the driver's load paperwork so the receiver can verify that the load is intact when it arrives.
