One of the main reasons a lot of it is new is because people have it on auto ship and they forget to stop in when they have more than enough they end up sending it back and it goes to you all ! I know because I’ve had dog food on auto and had more than I needed to had to send it back.

We have a store here in bham that sells returns. They use a set dollar amount on a set day. Saturday's are 4 dollars. Got 24 cans of cat food that sold on Amazon for 45 dollars. But now the cat only wants the fancy stuff.

the Best Buy date on the items is simply a suggestion. there is actually no law that says you can not sell items that are past their dates. We have a store in my city that actually specializes in selling items that are all over their dates. and in some cases they are decades over. not sure that i would buy it but some people do. What happens most of the time with groceries, is that ANY returns are immediatly liquidated. This is because once the product has been sold the seller does not want to risk having anything to do with the product as it is possible that it has been tampered with in some way.
