I sold a Accutron box with the paperwork that comes with it, I believe it was 1975 vintage for $125 on ebay last year, I am sure i could of got more , but was tickled that there is such a demand for the Accutron stuff.

The older Tudors were literally Rolex cases with ETA movements in them. Rolex case, crystal, crowns, bezel, etc... they just put a cheaper "engine" in them. So a better comparison would be saying a Lexus with a Toyota motor.

My parents used to sell timex watches in their grocery store in the seventies, they had a display with these watches on the counter. I had one with black leather straps, have no idea what happened to it. These days I tell time with my phone.

I really hope you opened the case back on the second Rolex you found. As it appears to be an 80s model Rolex Date just two tone. If it has a acrylic crystal then it is correct for the period. Should have a reference number at the 12 o’clock position under the bracelet. I found the same model at a flea market and paid $5 dollars on a hunch and it turned out to be real. Just sold for $4500.

Recently I was gifted a large assortment of old pocket watches and wrist watches from a terminally ill friend of my husband. I have no experience or available information on what to look for as far as value. Where would you suggest I begin my research on this wonderful inheritance. Sweet Accutron diver. They're electric movements regulated by a tuning fork. The seconds will actually glide because they run at 360hz (as opposed to 3, 4 or 5hz, commonly).

At 35.16 you pull out a pocket watch with a power reserve indicator. Look closely at that one. Might be worth a pile of cash. Definately check the movement.

The Accutron watch is worth about $1500-2500 USD maybe more. It is the worlds only watch that runs on a tuning fork. You can hold it to your ear and can hear the watch humming along.

My jeweler told me mine was a real rolex by taken off the wrist strap and finding a serial and a model number on either side of the watch. And you're right, the real ones are heavier than the fake ones.

Those box worth way more than 1000 bucks I can assure you that. When restored on some of the pens and pocket watches. If you’d really do your research on what they are, and sell in the proper platform for it, it could sell for a lot. Could make a good money off of it. That’s guaranteed for sure. 1000 green ones in a steal.

There’s a couple of nice Sheaffer No Nonsense pens there - my favourite fountain pen! I also have a Tudor watch - a fantastic timepiece! I didn’t buy it because I thought it was a Rolex. I wanted a Tudor because it wasn’t a Rolex!
