After you get better with driving it you can get paddle tires and drive it across water. Yes it will drive on water and turn. Just look up XMax on water and a bunch of video's will pop up. Also, this truck is just about the most durable one on the market. I've seen these just off a 4 foot quarter pipe and launch 50+ feet in the air and land and drive away with out any issues, but if you don't know how to control it in the air many things will go wrong and it will brake. Hit the trigger full throttle forward and it pitches the nose up to do back flips. Hit the brakes or go in reverse and it pitches the nose down to do front flips.

Here is what you'll need to do to make it biig bash rated: 1. RPM rear carriers 2. Stiffer springs 3. At least 50wt oil 4. Upgrade servo 5. ESC to Max6 at least (when it burns out the original ESC) 6. HD bottom arms all round 7. Change servo arm 8. APPLY STRONG THREAD LOCK TO GRUB SCEW!! 9. Set servo end points

A 1/8 racing buggy/truggy can easily cost more than an X-Maxx. The kits start at $600 and that’s with no electronics, wheel, tires, paint, fluids for the shocks/differentials, charger, batteries.... it adds up quick but the performance is even more satisfying than the X-Maxx if there’s a track local to you to race at. Glad to see you’re enjoying the RC hobby all the same 👍🏼

I’ve had mine for a month now and I tried the “gonna be nice to it” approach too…. Lasted about an hour. I’ve jumped it 50+ feet and landed flat bottom on gravel and it just takes it and keeps going.

The xmaxx is absolutely awesome!! However, handing over the monumental amount of Money for one is just a fraction of the battle. The money, the time and the effort you must put in to keep these things healthy and up to code is incredible (and not in a good way) not to mention places to drive it due to its power and sheer size is a whole other story again… if you don’t have time on your hands, money in your pocket and a large private property… then this truck is not for you

The upgrades available for that truck make it otherworldly. Seriously some of them can out run a sports car up to 50 or 60 mph. They are very tough as well.

I own one too they are awsome so fun to drive I recommend buying some after market batteryes with more c rating tho and change the esc if you havr money for it. anyways awsome video

Also recommend buying rear and front rpm bigger hub carriers and deilling small holes un the tires rubber so that the water trapped inside the tire can get out and cover the holes inside the wheel after drilling thr holes. After doing these thing it sure is a tank

You should get the TLR rtr nitro truggy. You’ll have a bunch of fun with that. It’s also a competition grade truck so it’ll handle much better and honestly easier

dont worry about breaking anything everything is replaceable and all spare parts are online and at the hobby shop drop the 46t spur inside and up the pinion to 22 50+mph

You've gotta put the high speed pinion gear in there that should come with it. You're probably only getting like 25mph with stock gearing.

When we were kids we had Traxxas but it wasn't very cool. They just had basic small offroad buggy ready to run. I had a monster truck like this, but me and my dad had to build it ourselves and it was about $1000 total (electronics, charger, battery, kit)

Make sure you are properly running the lipo battery’s and charging them correctly! If you don’t they won’t last as long and could potentially catch on fire

You should change the differential oil there’s barely any oil in it , put 200 in front differential and 500 in rear differential and 1million in center differential and pack it red and tacky. Grease on the gears
