I have the GRC Premium, 911 Carrera S, and a 07 STI. While all three cars are pretty quick, I find myself enjoying the driving experience of the GRC the most. Obviously the 911 is way faster and corners better than the other two, but there's just something about the fun factor in the GRC. The STI is a blast in a primitive sort of way and creates some flashbacks for me that I like. If I had to keep one car, and not sell it , I think the Corolla might be the winner. Enjoy the ride, cheers.

OOF. I got a core with the LSD's and extended warranty. I'm under 43k. But the car is sick and 150k warranty on a 3 cylinder running 24psi boost. Insane. If you love driving. Worth buying. (EDIT: My Alaskan Malamute loves the car; but severely impacts performance.)

Good to see an owner's POV who could have bought (apparently) any other fast car on the market & chose the GR C. I have the choice as well - which fast car to drive (after having recently owned a few 911s) I chose to wait (after being offered a few Core editions) for a 2024 Blue Circuit that I am getting in a month. 👍

As an unmodded, daily driver, the GR Corolla makes sense. I love the car and want one for myself. However… Not for the track. Most guys are seeing 15-20 minutes of track time before the rear clutch pack overheats. And there is currently no solution for it. Golf R should have been your choice here.

I will be taking the GR out on the Road Course this weekend and will let everyone know my experience. If it's not great there, it won't kill the experience for me. I have a more track based car anyway. The GR was bought to Rally Cross and for that, it did great.

So true, and I can't figure out why/how they would release here in the US with this issue... and no factory fix in sight. Seems like they missed the mark and the fanboys are up in arms claiming not an issue. Sure is if you like to track your cars hard... and for more than a handful of minutes at a time. Similar to both gen honda ctr cars with inherent and not easily correct overheating issues. Why market a car as "track ready" when obviously they aren't?

@@JDubRacing Corolla is fun on track - much better than expected actually. The rear diff overheating is the only real problem and cooling is a bit marginal.. Diff issue happened to me within 15 min every time. My modded S3 was a frikkin missile and I only paid 22k used (which makes a lor more sense than buying new), but no manual which killed the fun for me, so swapped for the much slower Corolla. With all the add-ons, shoulda just got the Golf which is a much better car.

I’ll start off by saying my opinion of the gr Corolla is biased. I’m a Subaru guy through and through. However everyone in the Subaru community is aware they’re potential ticking time bombs. So I’m a Toyota master tech and my dealership has lifetime powertrain warranty if purchased brand new. So a gr Corolla showed up and the buyer backed out and it sat for a month. So once I got over being cheap, I pulled the trigger and bought it. So far I like it but I think I’ll keep it stock.

Congratulations !!! Brilliant car. I have a GR Yaris over here in the UK. Ive just started my mods, and the first thing you should do is change the steering wheel for an alcantara jobbie. Next get a bonnet vented hood,, lower those seats, fit a better tailgate spolier and some wheels spacers. Upto you if you go ahead and upgrade the power, but over here in the UK the Yaris has so many tuners now, it's amazing.👌

My fiesta ST has a 1.6 liter and will go up to 400 wheel before it gets sketchy. I’m curious to know what the limit of the GRC is with the AWD setup. Seems like A LOT of stress on the engine. Fiesta ST only weights 2700 lbs so it won’t have to pull so much weight. Been considering the GRC but not sure how much PSI is left before something goes kaboom💥 !

There is a small new channel by the name Adriano James Piras. An Italian with a GR Yaris. There is some compatibility, engine is the same after all. A very knowledgeable person, former racer. I’ll tell ya from my own experience, with roughly 7k miles on mine now and getting this months back due to a full time commute once again. I really don’t know what I was expecting, figured it be a fun lil commuter but this thing continues to blow my mind. It is a hilarious lil car, but extremely well engineered, u can feel it. The chassis is superb, and feels like the suspension does all work, very lil, to no flex. Been driving my other cars less and less…..I now understand why ppl love hot hatches, it never appealed to me prior to this thing.
