It's kind of funny that you have an RS3 now. I remember sitting in front of the TV in December 2023 and watching old videos of you, dreaming of driving down those mountain passes in my dream car, which I picked up a few days later. After a little over a year with my RS3, the car still thrills me as it did on the first day. Congratulations, Luke! I'm looking forward to the content with the car!

Congratulations mate! The RS3 is no joke, I think it's the 'king of the hatchbacks' purely because of that melodic 5 cylinder. I feel these will hold steady or slightly increase in value as ICE vehicles disappear. Looking forward to more videos with it! Crazy idea, don't lower it, and put some rally style mud flaps on it! :D

I own an RS 3. I never gave one thought about the steering wheel. I am fortunate to have owned many, probably too many, performance cars. To me this is one of the most engaging automobiles I have ever driven on street or track. You don’t just get into this car. You put it on like a pair of gloves. I don’t buy a car unless I can when driving it, feel it in my ass and feel it through the steering wheel. To me it’s almost irrelevant how the car looks but more importantly it checks the boxes of a performance car. Be sure, this is not a car for the luxury car boys and girls. It’s a German hot rod and easily tuned for better performance without putting the engine at risk. It’s a great car if its type. I repeat, who cares about the steering wheel?

The facelift one does look like an afterthought tbh. The shape, the buttons. It’s just very underwhelming. But almost their entire range is now lacking in many ways. These new RS3s are one of their few bright spots. Greet all a rounder.

I can’t see myself paying upfront a new car. Cars (with some exceptions) are depreciating assets and I would always prefer to lease them and sell them whenever I want

@@WiZe1972 That makes not much sense, leasing you always lose! that's just facts so if you say you don't want to lose as much then cash is king. Also selling without leasing is much easier, I don't need to discuss with a bank now and can simply sell whenever I want. When you want to buy the car out of the lease and sell early you are also forced to pay a fine for breaking the lease early so again you just lose money you will never see again.

@ Thanks for answering Luke. In reality there is no right or wrong, if you’re able to pay it cash, then good for you but the question is, what will be the value of your RS3 in 6 months and 10k km? If you had a stellar deal, then you can mitigate it and I’m sure you’re clever enough to know what you’re doing. I’ve always been able to sell my 20 plus car I had on lease at least after one year without loosing money or having to pay fees (As long as you reimburse the lease). I agree that leasing a car means that you have a monthly budget dedicated to it and the cars isn’t yours but in the same time, you gat that peace of mind with depreciation. Again, there is no right or wrong and it’s a personal choice. Keep doing what you do (Follower since the yellow M4 ☺️)

I keep trying other brands ... but always coming back to Audi, nothing else does it for me in the same way. These ARE very special cars still, even with all the modern tech in there. The issue with many car YT channels is that they buy (finance) car keep it for a few videos then get rid of it, all in the name of views (which decline rapidly). But the I think that type of content is past it sell by date. You have never done that and the fact you now have 2 beautiful cars in the garage shows that you are winning. Congrats. Sportscars are cool, but impractical for everyday life. My daily is an RS4 Avant, because of the versatility and space. My next go to car is my '99 TD5 Defender which can go almost anywhere, carry almost anything, and if it gets a few 'scars' along the way those are just war stories for later.

When you do the numbers buying outright is the only viable option and the amount you pay to pcp most cars is insane, over four years you basically pay the whole value of the car and don’t even own it

Dream Carr for me. Currently. running a very aged TT ,quattro 13 years old, but. still makes me smile, especially in the snow, and a good set of snow tyres. Was thinking of having a landcover viscous. rear diff fitted, they need a little machining to fit the Audi, but gives. you constant 4 wheel drive. Which in turn does effect the fuel consumption, but not a biggie. Any how, You thoroughly. deserve the new car Luke, you. work yer ass off. 😁👍🏼👍🏼

After having both cars for a day each on state to state drives I would take the RS 3. The Supra I was driving was the GR edition, so better than the standard Supra. I drove up in the mountains on tight twisty roads, through town, on the interstate then through a mountain pass. The GR Supra is a great car, the RS3 is a better one plus it's a lot more usable in all four seasons.

My last car was a mythos black Audi S5 Cabriolet, and I bought it from DTM sports cars too :) Loved that car, especially driving with open roof on mountain pass routes and snow - so much fun. Just recently, I went on an electric experiment and bought a mamba green 22' Taycan Turbo CT with low mileage for 35% of the original price - everyone seems to hate electric cars so much at the moment :)

I drove this pre lift RS3 and since they fixed this unusable low rev power lag which should have never been ever released in the first place (RS3 8V issue), the car has to be considered nearly perfect. It thrives with power, gives you goosebumps on the basis of its sound, performance and handling. I also love this model. Interestingly the car that drives closest to current RS3 is the previous generation S3 8V. Desite having a more modest power it is also featured with a low rev stamina & excitement, proper sound and a decent dynamic handling. I envy your new car. Cheers.

Absolutely right on the steering wheel. I thought it looked a bit weird too at first. And it thought it wasn't going to be nice in use. Because of the square off shape. But since my dad took delivery of his Q6 I actually really like the steering wheel. Feels good when driving too. I thought it was going to be awkward to slide it through your hand(s) but it works surprisingly well.
