Someone explain to 3 Bros that "vintage" baseball cards are prior to 1980, or so. 1986 is NOT vintage in baseball cards.

That Clint Malarchuk hockey card was a goalie that had his carotid artery severed by an ice skate during a game. Pretty crazy story there.

I think i remember that! Was the trainer a former medic and saved his life? He pinched the artery shut until they could get him to the hospital? Even if I have the wrong story, it's crazy anyway!

Yes, a few months ago. His name was Adam Johnson. He used to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins, but recently played in the UK league. He got hit by his opponent's leg which kicked up by his throat and got slashed by his skate blade. There's a graphic video of it I saw on KZbin. He's holding his neck and you see a trail of blood from center ice to the bench where he shortly collapsed then died on the way to the hospital. Absolutely horrible! 😢

@@ghostface3655 It wasn't intentional. The guy got checked and went off balance in a weird way where his leg went way up in the air. No player would ever intentionally do that to another player.

@montrealsports29 The one I was speaking of was recently. I remember the check in front of the goal when his skate cut his neck. The "intentional" one was recently I believe last year, but maybe it wasn't done deliberately and I heard wrong.
