If you aren't so obsessed with baseball that you'd swallow a MLB players baby gravy it kinda is. Basic value of a game used ball, fine, but having intricate value scaling based on if a ball threw a couple strikes or hit the dirt once or was a grounder is pretty lame and just capitalizes on the fans who are overly obsessed with the game. They gonna give authentic, verified snips of used athletic tape after a player took it off next?
@deadpool1092 Жыл бұрын
@kylethekidable technically topps has been doing that for years. Not so much with athletic tape but "patch cards" that will have a piece of jersey, bat, or ball inserted into the card. Like with balls, the worth is based on the player, if it's signed and if it's numbered as part of a limited release.
@bleedthebeat1 Жыл бұрын
@@kylethekidableall of the foul tips, pitch’s in the dirt, etc are around $30-40 each. Basically just a nice souvenir. The stupid ones are the balls that were hits, especially for the home team. Those can get up to hundreds of dollars. The bigger the play the more they’re charging for it. For those balls I’d say your argument is valid. But for these low level do nothing balls it’s a good souvenir for the game you were at and it’s cheaper and cooler than a hat or tshirt.

Actually that’s pretty kool. I like that. A ball that was actually used in a game and you can track the video of the ball being thrown or hit. That’s alot better than getting a relic card from packs these days that aren’t even game worn.

They put those on Topps relic cards too! I got a Mike Trout patch from the jersey he wore when he hit his 294th home run
