Basic value of a game used ball, fine, but having intricate value scaling based on if a ball threw a couple strikes or hit the dirt once or was a grounder is pretty lame and just capitalizes on the fans who are overly obsessed with the game. Like with balls, the worth is based on the player, if it's signed and if it's numbered as part of a limited release.

Those can get up to hundreds of dollars. The bigger the play the more they’re charging for it. For those balls I’d say your argument is valid. But for these low level do nothing balls it’s a good souvenir for the game you were at and it’s cheaper and cooler than a hat or tshirt.
