I just bought a 96 shorty high top that was converted in Japan and came over to a Mecum car auction. only 54,000 miles & it sure is 1 of a kind like the guy told me Deezer was the conversion but i can't find out anything about them

It's the same as the checks you'd do for any used car. KZbin has plenty of buying used car how tos. Specific to the Dodge van, I'd check the electrical system. Make sure the blower fan works on all the settings, the blinkers aren't clicking super fast, etc. Other than that, there's not much that can go wrong on them other than the tranny so definitely check the trans fluid dipstick make sure it's a nice clear pink color. I’ve got an 02 1500, please help me lower it lol if you can. I converted the interior to a camper also, now I want to make the outside dajivan style. Just got my 16s and rubbers the other day. Seams like lowering is a little out of my skill level

Just subscribed ! Am in beginning of a 2002 3/4 tonne 2500 shortie . The catalytic converter is gone ,improving the milage somewhat . Wont be travelling in most US or Europe at all anyway

I bought 98 dodge 3500. Don't know why you lowered it through if your gonna live in it. Well at least if your gonna be on blm land or forrest. Because you WILL want that height. Just saying. Been living van life since b4 it was cool . lol. Great ok van though. Mine has the 5.9 liter v8.120k miles. Cream puff.

@hammer but have you conquered the mental challenges as well while living in a van? There’s more to it than just low miles and v8 motors.. I bet you aren’t about that life because if you were you’d be more respectful. that’s another thing. It teaches you to be more gratifying and you don’t check out .. cream puff.
