best thing i have found to actually clean my exhaust tips with and get all the black off from instide is wonder wheels. works amazingly well.

Any alloy wheel cleaner or fall out remover and a bit of steel wool does the job

Most types of acid based wheel cleaner will do the job as already recommended then add the autosol once dried

bit of wire wool on that as well will clean it right up and remove the tar etc.

ive got a downpipe, d cat, non res ultimate and its perfect for me. you can keep it quiet but then make it noisy too. Ive got a feeling it might be to much for your taste though. you can always swap for a res pipe.

I only do about 3 - 4k miles a year now so I’m going to put up with it 👌🏻 it’ll be worth it if it sounds as good as I think it will 😃

I have one fitted on my mk2. It was on the car when I bought it in Basildon and I had a 4 hour drive back to Birkenhead for the boat. It wasn’t droney at all as I sat about 60 the whole way. Anything over that and it is quite droney. I too would love to go 375 but the price of the fuel pump is putting me off.

Very very nice, I think you'll be very happy, even if it drones a little, it's not as if it's your daily car. And when you push it, the sound pays off lol. Can't wait to see intercooler + exhaust install. Happy days...

Proper deal that. I think you might regret having a non res mid section though. Ive got the dsci catback with a milltek RS res section coupled to it, if i were to deres i think itd be a bit much. It can be droney on the motorway depending on what speed youre doing for example

I've got a full 3" miltec exhaust but mine has the bigger single back box no drone and sounds great I've also got a 200 cell sports cat

You’re welcome mate, glad you got it for an even better deal than what it was advertised for. If you get some cloth buffing wheels and use a cordless drill it saves a lot of elbow grease with the metal polish. Oh….inside the tips need polishing up too! 😅

I really do need one of those polishing wheels! I like the inside of the tips to be black mate, never been a fan of the insides being polished. As long as they have a nice shiny rim, can’t beat a bit of rimming….😂🤦🏼‍♂️

Yea I had a Scorpion system but it was incredibly droney. Too much for me, made my ears ring! The Milltek is far better (I reviewed an MR375 on this channel with the same system) I’ve had the standard cat back on for a couple of years now but seeing as I want to go MR375 the full system is needed 😁

Are you going to be using mountune software, I feel you'd be much better off getting a custom map rather than plug and play ?

The plan is to take it full Mountune MR375 with the Mountune software to match….

@@CarFocused yeah I figured that, just after having my mk2 with plug and play software then going for a custom map on the dyno, it was far better, not just for power but the way the car drove. Anyway I really miss mine, I should never have sold it.

You might need new hangers for that exhaust.. Some are not a like for like. I ran into this myself recently.

It's not the system that creates the drone its the lack of the Resonator that does. If you don't want the drone you need to get a resonated section

Word on the street is the Milltek non res isn’t that bad, compared to say, the Scorpion I had on a couple of years back…I’m going to have to put up with cabin noise though as a compromise for it sounding amazing on the outside 😁

I don't think the drone is that bad at all, the Milltek seems to make all its noise when using the throttle, it will be interesting to hear what you think when it's fitted.
