Maybe its not the fastest car in the world, but those Mitsubishi engines are bulletproof man. Naturally aspirated, quick throttle response ( with the manual of course ) and i really like the looks of the Lancer. I think its a really sharp looking car. The CVT is ehh, yeah, the stick is much more better.
@racequad92 жыл бұрын
If it's naturally aspirated of course there would be no turbo lag so a little redundant there lol. What are common issues for these cars?
@patwasinginman2 жыл бұрын
@@racequad9Sorry. the turbo lag was a mistake, i edited it. Im not an expert or a mechanic, but we had 3 lancers in the family, so thats why i said they're good cars. We didnt have any major problem with them, only minor issues like MAP sensor or some blower motor issues.

@@patwasinginman I was only messing around. But thanks for the info. I want to look at a 2010 2.0 Lancer for a friend of mine for their 2nd home in Mexico. They're nice looking cars and it's manual which I have more confidence over the CVT.

I had a 2011 Lancer I bought new. Kept it until last year when I had the itch for a newer car. Had 121k miles. Never had any issues with it. Might not be big muscle, but great car. I would average 37-40 mpg in mixed driving.

@stevesamuel66032 жыл бұрын
@@kwesiassan6402 of course give it a try but I'd say better buy the 1.6L or higher trim model with manual there is a 1.3L model which basically the one I have in Auto but I'm not sure about the manual ones but I'm 100% certain the 1.6 or higher models with manuals are epic and awesome!!! , and best model for a manual option will be a GT . Now one last thing you can do instead is buy an auto and swap it to manual but that depends on your interest and affordability but they anyway are great reliable cars .

Man. Thats the bread and butter for content. That Mitsubishi. I think you should do your best PDR and buff that out like you said. I dont think youre going to make any re-sell money off of it but I think the content will generate enough. Its a common car. Affordable car and its got issues people like to fix on their own So youll have plenty of pdr search hits. etc etc. I think its worth the time (no more money) to invest a couple episodes into tearing down the door, PDR, fixing the ABS issue (I think itll be an easy fix tbh) but... You got a good little car there. Cant wait to see that new car in the back. Im not the best at identifying them but... Spitfire maybe? idk. I like the vintage kick you are on but the next break down for revenue you share will kinda let us know where the interest is at. Take care! Ohhh. and just paint the wing. Weird Beard can prolly do it in a day. Just take it off. sand it. Take it down to him and have him hook you up with a cheap spray.

As a fellow "Lancer Owner" I think you did pretty good. Everything that you mentioned in your video is nothing to be worried about. The 4b11/4b12 engines are strong and easy to maintain/work on. The radio, you can easily swap a touch screen in it for $100 bucks. The bumper, if need be replacing, its a base model so new bumper is $70 on eBay. I would replace the battery terminals and check the battery or replace it. Pop the dent out and sell it for a profit. You did good bro! There's a reason Mitsubishi regularly finishes top of reliability surveys in Europe, they go forever if you maintain them. Push out the door, fill the bumper with chod and get Maaco to blow that and the rear spoiler over. Clean it up yourself, pick up a used battery at pick a part and move it on.

The service engine soon light has nothing to do with the P1773 code. It's basically a "change oil soon" light. There should be a way to reset it. There also might be a way to disable the TPMS sensors too. And if you want to go the extra mile, you might be able to get rid of the P1773 code by simply flushing and/or bleeding the brake lines. Who knows when that thing last had a brake fluid service done to it.

Relatable content. Many of our cars here in the Caribbbean are JDM. The Lancer is one such. It's nice to see something close to home. Mitsubishi monitoring systems are probably among the craziest. The ABS light can be triggered by the simplest of things such as a blown fuse or relay or the most complicated such as sensors. In some of the systems something quite unrelated can trigger it too. Patience will be your friend.
