I have the same car with 365.000 km. It was always a little bit wet with oil underneath but nothing major. Until the amount of oil started getting bigger. I found the cause of the problem. I had to change the o ring from the oil line coming from the block to the turbo. It Was leaking more and more. Pretty easy job. Remove the airfilter box. And the heat shield underneath. And then you can acces the pipe. Maybe something to replace proactive. ;-). Good luck with your new project. I love driving mine.

Thats very tidy bodywork for a scottish car, bet its lived most of its life in the south. I bought a W203 back in Feb of last year and I am loving it. Mine is a 2.1 CDI saloon. Had both bumpers repainted due to little marks and thats about it, new front springs and a service in 7k miles so far, for a 19 year old car im very happy. Mine is a pup at 96k miles. Cannot wait to see what you accomplish with this project. That car was a bargain for a Sport.

173,000 on Merc, only just run in if the 'Durability Quality and Reliability' rumour is to be believed. Not surprised to see some rust coming through with it having a Scottish Reg. MOT history looks quite good, but recent owners not too bothered about tyres going by the history and the mismatched ditchfinders

Greener than an EV or Hybrid with non re-cycleable batteries!
