Knockoff LEGO used to be so bad, it was always the cheap option. Now we are seeing a lot of alt bricks rise up to compete against the insane prices of LEGO. The only thing real LEGO has over these new alt brick competitors is brand tie ins. I hope they can help drive costs down as they get better and better.

Yes that's true they used to be so bad. The good thing is there are now amazing quality bricks for a bit more $$. Alt-brands should start doing more legit brand tie-ins to directly compete with big LEGO.
