I had one of these when they were only 2 years old. They are essentially a Golf with an S3 engine. Even all those years ago, mine was Stage 1 mapped to 310bhp which is on par with a standard MK7R which shows things haven’t really moved on much over the years!

Yep cracking car K Mack, I had a stage 2 DSG one from nearly new for 7 years - dyno'd at 325bhp. Chopped it in for a Mk7 R which I had mapped and sold it within 6 months. Edition 30 was a miles better car in my eyes

Stage 1 on edition 30 is about 300 bhp,they have a audi turbo ,different to the normal mk 5 golf

i have owned my edition 30 for 5 years, it has 2 owners including me and has done 190000 miles , every mile a pleasure. brilliant engines if serviced well.

Calv the front wings rust because of a tiny sponge inside the arch… a lot of people remove the sponges to stop the rusting issue from the inside out!

I have seen a 2014 golf r with a stage 3 map..its has done 143000 miles! It has full vw service history and was tuned devil development only 4 months ago. So most of the cars life it's has been standard. It is in excellent condition for a 9 year old car with the high miles.. my question is should I buy it? 🤔

My R32 has bad switches, they coated them in a soft touch material that falls apart. It's common on mk5 golf's.

£21000 for a hot hatch try and buy a new hot hatch today for that kind of money that’s inflation right there bring back the good old days lol😂 also if you buy a golf GTI mk5 get the cam follower and the water pump and cam belt changed and also the tensioners as the car is chain, driven and cam belt driven great cars if there looked after.
