Welcome to the club. I own a 2003 Type S in Silver and love it to death. Shifter upgrades are the best bang for the buck. Super cheap and easy to do, with a noticeable difference in positive shifting feel.

it always amazes me how people who have driven 100s and even 1000s of cars prior, drive a DC5 and can't shake it. It leaves a mark on your soul. I'll keep my Type-S forever and plan on importing a Type-R to the U.S. when available. blessings on your purchase!

K20A is such a good engine, definitely makes the car.

Any k20 type r is amazing. Good choice. Few tips. Change the PCV valve. It's 40 quid and really easy. For the break pads look at PBS protrack or prorace. Really good pads and little break dust too.

You’ll not loose a penny owning a type R I have an ep3 type R mapped on k100 and absolutely love it, and has been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned honestly nothing goes wrong with it and it surprises quite a lot of cars on the road

Best choice ever bro i own a usdm dc5-S with a k20z1 i really wish i was able to buy a dc5-R similar cars but jdm comes with alot more accessories better interior etc and also more power than the usdm legendary cars nonetheless
