Make sure to check for any small coolant leaks in the front if you see any wet spots then you need to replace your water pump gasket immediately also make sure to immediately bleed your clutch fluid and replace it with new fluid it needs to be done once a year or you will ruin the throwout bearing which is very hard to replace. Other than that these are great bikes

Greetings, im a friend of Dick and Tracey they sent me link to your channel lovely looking machine welcome to the world of panners I'm on my second 1 first being a 2002 got rid at 106k miles and bought a 2005 with 42k on the clock Bikequip are best place for accessories and check under headlight behind fairing for a collection of plugs it's called the quartet harness and some of those plugs are live on ignition so perfect for sat nav and other accessories

@manleyprojects no worries I'm pretty sure you will love racking up the miles with mine were standard with screen and seat and I was able to do 300miles in a day without any aches and pain (they do have bar raisers though) easily rode to Spain and back and Italy and back plus 10s of thousands of miles around UK and Belgium/France enough luggage for 1 person for 2 weeks and even when using the full extent of the throttle 200miles out of a tank (300miles if tootling at 60 all day )
