I really dislike when ppl say “there are bigger/more important things” there’s nothing more important than one’s mental and physical wellbeing. We should never put anything or anyone before our own wellbeing, if we are not well within ourselves we are no help to anyone or anything else. Always put yourself first, always!! I’m so happy that you took the time you needed and that you’re continuing to heal and grow. Congratulations on all of it including your new home!! I’m excited for your future and what you’re willing to share. Can’t wait to see the transformation your home is about to take😀👏🏽👏🏽 Best wishes always❤️

I agree saying “there’s more important things” is disregarding your reality. We do not live each others life so we should be honoring our own. We are allow to hurt and it’s okay to feel pain. It needs to be processed so we can move forward.

Don’t diminish your personal challenges because “others have it worse”. Your stress is relative and valid. Good luck with everything you’re working on

Yes, her stress and challenges are real but I like her even better for realizing how many people right now are suffering so much. It’s good to have perspective - first because you see that your problems, even though tough, are manageable but also because those of us who have resources, have enough to live decently should never forget the many others who don’t (and we should do what we can to help). Rachel is aware, one of many reasons I’m subscribed.

yes rach!!!! The “class for ‘ADULTING’” should exist lmaooo seriously. I’m just 22 and I have had so many mental breakdowns in the last 4 years, that I’m sure I should be in a mental hospital (but uses KZbin for ✨therapy✨). Honestly you’re the most relatable person ever in like the world hun 🥺😂 we all know there are problems above our own, but sometimes you just need someone to show you compassion, understanding, and just some time! ✨✨✨ always here for you Metz

I really loved how you say “it almost takes falling completely apart to come back together stronger”. And it’s true to any transition in life and it goes with what you do for a living. You need to demo first, have a process that is messy and chaotic to have a beautiful, new renovated space. I hope you take time to enjoy the process of renovating your new space, your way, rather than stressing about creating content.

rachel: i’ve been watching your videos for the longest time - and have been on the same boat that you were in. moved out of ex’s house, moved in with friends then moved out and then bought my house at 21, sold it for profit and then moved into my 2nd house at 22. and i cant tell you how EMOTIONAL this made me for you. it’s like dejavú. it reminds me of myself and what i was feeling during what seemed to be the most emotional and eye opening time in my life. you mentioned so many things in this video that i was thinking but felt so scared or weird to say out loud.. the city here in phoenix, az made me feel suffocated. and i moved out when everything around us in the world made it feel impossible with 100 other major problems in 2020. the city life just wasn’t it. and creating your own reality and being you for YOURSELF is the most amazing thing i feel like ive witnessed on your channel. you keep it real. and you keep rolling with the punches and bust your butt off to being this amazing person it so enlightening to witness, and your power circle is thriving. this makes me so motivated to believe in so much. the intense validation of owning a house on 5 acres you must feel and creating your slice of heaven is such a privilege to watch on your channel and I AM so HAPPY for you for letting us all see this growth and be a part of your life in some way. CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS BRAND NEW CHAPTER OF YOUR LIFE!! you deserve all the great things life has to offer!!

I have a lot of other things going on in my life that made it harder for me to move forward, but I have. It’s been a few years and I’m finally at a good place. I realized that it’s ok to have faults, learn from mistakes, and move forward. Always try to be the best person you can be. 💕 You are one bad ass with those power tools and always give so much of yourself to your audience. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart: thank you for this. I found your channel last year around the time of your breakup and you've been such an inspiration to me. I just turned 26 and finding someone whose humor, style, and life stages I can relate to has been such an amazing treat. I've felt this un-seen pressure to find someone, settle down and buy a place together and I felt like I was falling behind compared to my peers, especially as a young woman. Seeing you achieve this stunning milestone on your own all while being a bad-ass single woman is the relatable and raw content I need. You've inspired me this past year to become more financially independent and stable so I can become my own homeowner in this next chapter of my own life. I can't wait to see what you do with the place! Much love to you.

You’re loved and supported, Rachel! When I left what I thought was “the one,” I took an entire year and half to just do me. You were a big part of that journey because I learned how healing creating can be. It’s now two years later, I bought my first house, and watch DIY and woodworking videos to learn how to make this house my home. You’re going to blossom even more, honey. Every breakthrough starts with a breakdown first. Much love to you. Can’t wait to see how 2021 will be for you. ❤️✌🏼

You have the kind of presence that quietly tugs at some of the threads of my depression. I felt it, truly, before even realizing the gravitational sway...a sense of comfort and creative escape simply bc of aesthetic, the way you speak, and the (seemingly)casual, organized way you present tasks and projects at hand. It’s so crazy to me where Joshua Tree is at now. When we lived there over 10 years ago it wasn’t the hip, trendy place it is now. I'm SO happy for you!! Excited for what to come. But you were talking in the beginning about how your life falling apart is needed for you to keep moving. And it reminded me of a quote that legitimately changed my life because I lost everything I owned, husband, unborn baby, house, pets, belongings, everything. And I had to completely rewrite my life story to pick myself up. "For a star to be born, There is one thing that must happen: A gaseous nebula must collapse. So collapse. Crumble. This is not your destruction. This is your birth. " Hope everything becomes easier for you and I wish you the best. :)

I’m so crazy happy for you. Hen I bought my house in DHS I felt like you are right now. When I sold it two years ago for a new chapter it was such a blessing. Waiting to buy a new home in a new state. Thank you for sharing this new chapter. It’s your life, share what your comfortable with. Love you being you. Something someone who counsels shared, women too often lose themselves in a relationship, that’s NOT a how it’s suppose to work. Find you, be you never forget you are important. I just went through this same thing, love and prayers for you.

Congratulations!!! you made me cry. I am so happy for you. I have to say, for me, there was no better feeling than stepping into my home after I closed escrow. My husband of 30 years died, I lost my cars, my house and filed bankruptcy all in a couple of years. I pulled myself together, reestablished my credit and purchased my own home by myself. I sometimes just sit and marvel at what I accomplished. I can't wait to see what you do with the place!!

Thank you for being so raw and sharing. This property was waiting for you. I know that feeling of this is where I'm meant to be. For me its by the water. I am sooooo excited to see all the projects you have in store. This community may help you but please know that you are helping many others (especially woman) to realize their potential. Knowing who you are is the best gift you can give yourself. Always take care of YOU first and the rest will fall into place. Congratulations again on your home. Cheers to the memories you'll make and hold near.

Love, you NEVER have to explain yourself or try to excuse your absence and issues. It doesn't matter what's going on with everyone else or even the world. We appreciate you understanding that everyone is going through a hard time, but that doesn't make your struggles any lesser. You're allowed to have off-days and take breaks, even if unannounced. We still love you. We're still here for you. And we still appreciate WHATEVER you put out content-wise, no matter how long it takes. Focus on your needs first, then us. You've always got so much going on and you deserve the time to process it.

Congrats on the new house and new journey, thank you for sharing the real stuff and being so inspiring. All the best as you plan, reno, process, discuss, and heal. What you said about falling apart and coming back even stronger resonated so much with me because I'm still in the getting up phase and really hoping for the coming back even stronger part. While I know there are big issues in the world, your story is your story and your pain is your pain, I for one never felt like you made it seem like your pain was bigger, thank you for saying that though and for how you have shared your heart here, it helps, it matters. I love the realness of it.

I LOVE the energy of this video! I’ve always admired your rawness and that you willingly share it with the world. I appreciate the videos you filmed while not in a positive headspace. It’s a reminder to us all that we are human and what we feel is real. We are allowed to break. Although painful, your breaking has been a beautiful lesson because it has lead you to this exact moment. As always, thank you for sharing such vulnerable aspects of you life with us! This was very special to watch. Oh and most importantly...CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I just really feel that never give up attitude in your content! I would really like to buy a property one day and have an off grid tiny house. ❤️❤️❤️

Rachel, I'm getting so teary eyed. I'm SO proud of you - I've been watching you for years and fell in love with your creativity and chutzpah. I didn't imagine such a difficult transition was waiting for you as so many bloggers seem to have this perfect coupled up life - marriage, babies, etc.... that always seemed so formulaic and unrelatable to me as I love independence and creativity. I'm so inspired to see you bust out this independent, hard, but clearly so rewarding path of freedom and self sufficiency. I dream of buying my own house one day and I'm so happy to see that you did it, and in a way that was so meaningful and true to you. I got so teary when it snowed. Winter was always my and my dad's time together, and whenever it snows I know it's him (I live in a warm city where snow is rare, Vancouver). And then the rainbow🌈 This obviously was destined to be your home. I've been meaning to check in and see how you're doing and I am so proud of you for everything you've achieved. Sending you and your perfect dog (that face!!) the biggest hug 🤗💕

Thank you so much for sharing this part of your life with us. Watching this made me wish I knew you personally so I could come and hug you and hold your hand as you're working through all this. It is extremely stressful buying a house no matter what year, when I made an offer on my condo I told my real estate agent I wanted to chew on her car just to dig my teeth into something! Buying a house on top of everything you've been dealing with in the last year takes a great deal of courage. And no one can tell you're flopping on your videos, girl! There's NOTHING that I have seen that isn't up to your usual standards. I'm so looking forward to watching you re-form your life in your new environment.

Thrilled for you!!! It was a delight to hear the story of your house buy, so thanks for vlogging, and also...? From where I sit, you did a *phenomenal* job in 2020. Here's a partial list: You created some of my favorite videos, you set yourself up for success with your financial team, and, through Holly's remodel, you realized it was past time to own your own home -- AND you found and purchased that home before the year was out. Also, you took care of yourself and Callie, loved on your friends and family, and you motivated and educated all of us from beginning to end. And that was a *partial* list. #whew You did more than enough, you wonderful woman. More. than. enough. Please be proud of you 👍🏾 Buckets of blessings to you from the plains of Central Montana -- p.s. it's snowing here, too! ♥️

You are a beautiful person and deserve wonderful things. I truly believe that things happen the way they are meant to happen. My dream house was bought while I was touring it. Sure enough a month later as I was about to settle my realtor called me and told me it was back on the market and for the last two years she has been mine. This home will be your pride and joy and all you. Enjoy it and love every second of it, including the ugly moments because those create those rainbows.
