I buy shelf milk, vit D. I buy my milk from Dollar Tree. You keep it in your pantry until you get ready for it. Put one in the fridge to chill before using. It's great milk and I like buying milk this way. You can take the Ramon noodles add can of mixed veggies and meat to them. You will have a complete meal. Very good, trust me because that's the way I do mine!

Shelf stable milk has been around since at least the 80's. When I lived in Mexico, I used to buy it all the time. That brand was Leche 2000. It's the same as any other milk.

Shelf stable milk is just regular milk pasteurized at higher temperatures so it no longer needs refrigeration. You can drink it or use it for cooking. We get ours at dollar tree and always have a couple quart boxes in case the power goes out or we run out of the refrigerated kind.

You can find shelf stable milk usually in the tea and coffee at the supermarket. Regular milk and Almond and Soy also have shelf stable boxes. Just refrigerate before using. IMO it does not taste too good.

Hi, Here in Canada that is exspensive milk. It's just shelf stable. To take camping. Doesn't need to be. refrigerated . Natural. You can buy it in a bag here. It's really good milk.

The powdered milk is probably for everyone. It was used by low income people when I was a kid as it was cheaper than regular milk. I have noticed a resurgence of powered milk over the past few years. It's good for making soaps too.

The milk is pasteurized at a high temperature than the milk you’re used to so it doesn’t have to be refrigerated until after it’s opened. It’s very common outside the United States. I always thought it tasted a bit scorched. I guess it’s just a matter of what you’re used to.

Here is an interesting factoid about brand name peanut butters. I used to work as a security guard and one of the spots I had to stop at was a manufacturer of peanut butter and jellies. Here comes the tidbit you did not know. The exact same batch of peanut butter filled jars of name brand and store brands. They just added different labels to the containers. The same process extended to the jellies. At least that is what happened at that specific factory. That is why i do not pay more for a brand name when buying jelly or peanut butter.

NIDO is just powdered milk. I buy it to add to my homemade powdered cocoa mix. The shelf stable milk is just milk that you can store in your pantry or emergency supplies. It just needs refrigerating after opening.

Sure someone will have said this but the milk is UHT Ultra Heat Treated. You store it in a cupboard then once open transfer to fridge and use as normal. We have this in the UK it's very handy to have in if you can't get to the store or have a habit of running out of milk. Also very handy when camping. It's slightly more creamy than normal milk, also in the UK whole milk (full fat) is quite hard to get as UHT but Skimmed and semi skimmed (Im not sure of the US % equivalent sorry) is very easy to get hold of.

Ha boob squeeze! I used to use those water enhancers too but grew out of it in favor of a gallon of water. Those bottles took up way too much money for me. When I did buy those drink enhancers, I blew probably 20 bucks or more on that shit. I do love peanuts myself & fruit snacks. Sucks there’s no chips but the amount of drinks getting liquidated is interesting. I’d be worried about them bursting & you’d think with how heavy they are, the boxes would be reinforced better. Very good food haul!

2:14 i believe that milk has been ULTRA PASTEURIZED. but very possible it uses a third process(see cavet) Most of the milk sold in the United States is pasteurized, a process during which the milk is heated to 161 degrees and kept there for 15 seconds.(from fda.org) ... you need to refrigerate it until used. ULTRA PASTEURIZED when used to describe a dairy product, means that such product shall have been thermally processed at or above 280 deg. F for at least 2 seconds, either before or after packaging, so as to produce a product which has an extended shelf life under refrigerated conditions. (from fda.org) most prevalent complaint about "ultra" milk is some detect an undesirable taste like cooked milk but unopened the milk is good for 6 month at least.... enter the cavet... there is controversy about the third way to treat milk to reduce baddies found in raw milk. Irradiation !!! RADIATION used to Irradiate food (including milk) kills ALL LIVING MATTER.... even humans who are exposed. thus milk will last much longer than even ULTRA PASTEURIZED (and without cooked taste) but fear prevents USDA from permitting Irradiation in the food chain. so i expect you will detect a cooked taste which you can get use to if you try. but at $2 a liter/quart don't expect many to use your find.

Resellers will never tell all of our sources we buy pallets from because there are only so many pallets available per week and more competition means it puts us out of business. Just keep researching and you will find sources near you.

you can get that milk here in michigan at the dollar store. it's like dry milk but was designed for emergency food , doesn't need refrigeration until opened.
