The switches ( and stabilizers) are already pre lubed so that propably doesnt make much of a difference (or it does but overlube is bad for the switches and feel)

I have the same keyboard did the tape mod and now my side lights don’t work anymore😭

You just covered the leds on sides of the PCB with tape, no permanet damage, don't worry.

electrical tape is much stronger and you might damage the board or even tear off something
