@@WadesVentures Um, I'm old, I barely do you tube. I don't know from instawhatever. Being old and experienced is why I usually know what things are. I've been not only working in many fields over the years, I grew up with old stuff all over, and have been reselling since... way back when, before there was an internet. Had to go to live flea markets then. I wouldn't do it now even if there was a good one nearby. Mostly, I sell on ebay, and some larger items on craigs, or let my wife put them on facebook marketplace. I don't do facebook either, they banned me because I refused to give them any personal info.
@tootall55596 жыл бұрын
@@WadesVentures by the way, I'm serious about that thick Swiss Army knife... I have from the very small ones to the medium, and carry 3 any time I'm out and about (but I also carry a few others as well) It should say Victorinox or Wenger on the main knife blade. I really don't know what they're actually worth these days, but I do know they don't sell particularly well if you want full value. Here's an interesting story for you. I wanted a "MacGyver" knife bad, and my wife wanted to get it for me for Christmas. However, funds were short. Somehow, she got a deal on one because it already had a name on the handle. Turned out, the name on the handle was Dave, my actual first name.
@tootall55595 жыл бұрын
@Howard Black well in your old barn the cost would be low and it would be convenient, but would people show up? If you want to do that, get people there by posting items on craigs, offer up and maybe facebook marketplace. Not all the items, just the major ones, to get them there. Big stuff, mainly. I often wish I still had somewhere to move larger non-shippable items I run into great deals on them all the time, but pass because I have no way to move them store them, (my storage unit is already full of ebay merch) and I don't want to get into another unit with the cost involved. In your barn, well you could do great things. No commute either, and when nobody's there, you can relax in the house if you want. I ran up on a store just like that not too long ago. Had a sign on the building honk for service. And me without a horn that worked... lol, but you could easily put up sensors and or cameras to know when somebody is there. If I had that option, I'd probably already be doing just that. You can also do consignment with other pickers that don't have storage room. That's what I used to do with my friend that had a store, or I would sell him the stuff outright. Sometimes, I wouldn't even buy big stuff, I'd just call him and let him come buy it with his truck and trailer.
@tootall55595 жыл бұрын
@Howard Black oh I've gone into the outfield for estate sales, that's for sure. There is an "antique barn" near me, but they're like never open. That's one thing you've got to do, except in case of dire emergency, you have to be there when your hours sign says you are. Nothing like not being open to put off the customers from ever coming back. Howie, we're both in similar situations, tho at least you have a property to use. I rent an apartment, so I don't have as much flexibility. Instead of taking up space here, you can feel free to contact me direct at tootall1121@yaho.com So the kid likes video games... get him into repairing consoles and buying and reselling video games... can be good money in that for those that know what to buy and what stuff is worth. Then work in the other things. Once he starts making a little money off it, he might really get into it. Me, i know squat about what games to buy so I wind up with a lot of dead ones. Nobody knows them better than a player. I would do a combo of things as well, since you have some room to work with. I'd use EBay for some stuff, then the local things for larger items. There are also sites like Bonanza and Etsy. The only things I could manage to sell on Etsy however were craft supplies.

Those brass valves are used in residential and commercial water service installation. Its called a meter valve. ( that's what we called them when I was a plumber) I'm not convinced that they are real Swiss Army Knives. I think they are knock offs. The silver tripod goes with the laser level. They are used to set grade on construction sites. There is a telescoping bar used to hold another part of the laser level. One mounts on the tripod and the other thing mounts on the grading pole. The Arctic Cat clothing is for snowmobiling. The black boots are us military issue and were used by for winter combat.

27:02 Robert Talbott ties are an excellent brand of clothing. The ties are expensive and should sell fairly well. Their other clothing items are high quality too. Think new ties up to 150.00 to 250.00 USD. My brother had a few and they were very well treated and costly. I don't even know what the other items Talbott made cost. These should sell nicely.

My mom had one of those Marlboro cases and she used it for her handycam that used cassettes that looked like miniVHS. I guess they were great for photos and electronic storage.

Haha hey there Wade, I would not think that I would find the person that I was bidding against, this is amazing. The laser itself is a good find. That is a bunch of knives tho that you found. Hope you make some profit on the unit. Maybe we will have another auction. God bless you. Good day to you

at the least u can scrap those car parts! If you have space u should consider hoarding some the scrap metal u get and loading ur box truck up and making scrap runs. Scrapping videos do pretty good on youtube too.. diversity in ur content can attract more subs.

that laser is part of a surveyors transom, and goes onto that pod. Depending on the model and age , it's probably close to a $1000.00+ new.

The tripod goes with the DeWalt laser leveler to very expensive tool dude it's like 400 bucks poke it probably about maybe 700 well I might be wrong but if it's a complete kit that's the tripod levels the laser to laser gives you the way you mark off of it once you get a line a level line in a mark in the air you can measure down and get your ground to be level you can put sheetrock up wall studs everything the laser level is a very good tool plus it has to have his tripod though otherwise it's useless
