Oh man... that 'stang brings back some memories! I had an '88 fast back Mustang 5.0 stick. It was cabernet red with this ridiculous orange stripe around the skirts. I beat the crap out of that thing, and with the exception of one scorched flywheel it pretty much took it all. I didn't do much mechanically with it as I just didn't have the extra cash. But I did turn a sub 14 quarter mile with it at Norwalk... once... Hey it was a big deal for me lol! Back in the early 90's when it was still Norwalk Raceway Park and IHRA lol. Was a dagger to the heart to see historical plates on it... damn I'm old. Awesome thanks for the ride! 🤠

Got to say I love that you bought the mustang I am building a sn95 “1994” mustang gt that I have cut the back floor and frame rails out of and have built a back half in it and am well into having the roll cage through the car. I want to keep the front suspension stick style. But you guys are what inspired me to build the car and I hope to be out there racing with you guys one day. I don’t currently have a place to work on it because I had to move and blah blah but I really appreciate what you guys do! It shows that normal good ole boys can build cars and get out there and race with the best of them! Good luck with the little mustang street car I’ll be watching to see how it progresses..

Basic Fox body suggestions... - full length subframe connectors ASAP, even if you "definitely aren't turning it into a race car"(lol), flimsy ol Fox chassis desperately need them. If it doesn't already have them anyway - Baseline Suspension 'Street launch UCA' kit, or the 'Street Outlaw'(predates the show lol) if you want adjustable geometry; badass stock suspension stuff, without being 'too race car' for the road. Fixes geometry when lowered too. Anti roll bar isn't a bad idea either, there's all kinds of options from streetable to 2k HP small tire radial. - roll the lips if they haven't been rolled, makes for lots of room in those wheel wells - best springs for old school style setup: V8 springs w/ 1 coil cut(Team Z even suggests this one) and 4-cylinder coils up front - hell yes to a single plane 302, spin the hell outta it... (BTW, the Holley Terminator X is pretty damn affordable jus sayin... lol). ...solid street/strip car setup, not too crazy but makes the stock suspension work much better

Sweet car. It reminds me of the 1984 Ford Mustang SVO I bought in 1989 that came with a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-4 and a 5-speed manual. It wasn't that fast, but it was a fun little car. It would only pull 15's in the quarter which wasn't really that bad for back then with a little 2.3lt 4 cylinder. lol.

That is a beautiful Mustang. You don’t see new ones in that nice of shape up here in the rust belt. I have a 13 GT with the 5.0 in it and you’re making me want to really start looking for an older Fox like that. The 4 eye look is really growing on me after seeing that one.
