Boat looks sick. I am looking at a sportster tomorrow any tips on what to look for when buying used?
@KnottsFishing3 жыл бұрын
Id definitely run it on a lake no matter what! This one ran great at idle and as soon as I got it on the water it would bog and load up losing power under load. Check for leaks on the water as well. Run for at least 10 mins to make sure their isnt any over heating issues that pop up.

Question on engine types, there are a couple of Challengers around my area that I am negotiating on, big question is which engine type to go with, a twin rotax (1998) or one with the Merc240 (2000) in terms of reliability and spare parts?

Dope vid. I’m looking at a 2001 challenger like this.. talked the seller down to $4000. Boat has no issues mechanically n is clean but Half the seats need to reupholstered (boat comes with reupholster for seats and decals, and gel coat that need to be installed included in the price).. is this a good buy for the price?
@KnottsFishing6 ай бұрын

@@KnottsFishing thanks for the quick response. Ye I tried to squeeze a lil more but $4000 is their minimum.. But she’s already bought the new upholstery and it comes with the boat included with the price, It also comes with new decals..

@@KnottsFishing That's great. I'm thinking about buying a 2001 Seadoo Challenger Bombardier 2000 for $5000. Like yours it needs the wood replaced on the trailer, it doesn't have the ski pole, and the radio doesn't work. Would you recommend buying the boat at that price if it runs well on the lake. This would be my first time owning a jet boat and I am not very mechanically inclined. Thank you.

@@maztif price seems pretty decent if it has good interior, if it has a worn out interior id probably keep looking. Id definitely lake test it and make sure the motors run great! Trailer issues arent a hard issue to fix just recarpet some wood and screw down on the brackets.
