...except it's not, it's hoirrible, and you can see the misalignment, bad finishing and the printed balance (because it's a quartz watch) on the dial from about a mile away. These are super cringey. There are some decent watches out there starting at around $60 (quartz) and $100 (auto) that have much better finishing sapphire crystals, etc. At about $500 you start to get into some premium quality homages and/or chinese "microbrands".

If I wanna buy a watch, a special one. That would be your watch, Michael! Designed by you and crafted by Jacob & co, or the Astronomia Sky watch! I have a suggestion I had in thoughts, it's about the perfumes from Fragrance Du Bois. You have showed many amazing watches, houses, cars and good friends in your KZbin videos. So why not show your collection of perfumes with their magnificent container from Fragrance Du Bois, or maybe visit their company who makes them. Do you know anything about how well-built these watches are? Michael flat-out said the RM homage was at worst comparable to the genuine article, and at best, superior, since the edges on it are smoother and not as sharp. Unless you're making the case of regular TimeX/Seiko 5s/Orient producing better watches than something that's comparable to a RM, you should probably walk your low-IQ comment back, since it indicates extreme bias and not at all representative of reality.
@MohammedKhaled-ju7gy
@MohammedKhaled-ju7gy 2 жыл бұрын
@@12801270able yeah you’re going to compare edges of an homage to RM that’s basically built as a shock proof mechanical? My comparison wasn’t with the original but that with the money you’ll spend on this homage you’re better off getting a better built watch. Ps. IQ isn’t a standard metric to measure intelligence

If RM's this triggered over being comparable to a $20 - $30 watch, they should focus on ameliorating tangible merits of their offerings, and not employ such insecure, beta actions against the truth of their watches being overpriced, cereal box garbo.

The two of you should check out two brands that I personally love. Victorinox Swiss Army and Tissot. They are both Swiss Made watches with Swiss Made Movements. You can purchase a Tissot automatic with an Eta- 2484 Swiss made movement for around $400 US dollars. Victorinox Swiss Army are super rugged watches that also have Swiss Eta automatic movements that will last a lifetime. Please check them out!!! Swiss made with Swiss automatic movements and very affordable...!

What is the definition of a ‘sell out’ again..? None of theses guys would ever buy or wear one these ‘pin time’ watches in public (or any other ‘homage’ watch for that matter) But if you pay them just the right amount of $$$, you now know they will say and do / promote just about anything.. even if it is something that they personally would never… Great video guys. Thanks for the lol’s..

No no, if they were involved with these watch makers, this video would be ABSURDLY illegal. Want to know what they are doing? Its simple and brilliant... click description for the video... you will notice affiliate links to every single watch shown. And these watches are being watched by a guy with over 1 million subs who is known for his watches. They are definitely being cheeky, but they are addressing these things as they are -cheap fashion pieces to get a particular aesthetic. They arent pandering a faux quality point. But they arent doing anything wrong, and many many people cant even afford a seiko. These are fun, cheap, and ethically presented and will make them some money. Nothing wrong with it

I find it very interesting that the real watches are so expensive. But these copies are so cheap. the quality of these cheap watches are not that bad. very interesting video. In the 1920s to 1960s many department stores around the world sold cheap knock-off watches. as I live in Canada. We used to have Timothy Eaton's. And the Hudson Bay. two of the biggest department stores. they used to copy famous watch brands and give them their own company name. Because they knew people at the time could not afford the real thing. remember stay in It to Win It. I don't know what I'm going to win but that's just life

You're not giving the homages their due credit. Michael flat out said that the Richard Mille homage feels just like a RM; said the band feels as good as the RM's; and said the edges of the homage feels better since it's not as sharp. So, the quality of the homages aren't just "not that bad" - it's "impossibly" good for the price point; and also simultaneously serves as an indictment against how stratospherically overpriced RMs - and by extension, some other well-known Swiss brands - are.

@@SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands If you think that factories work without human employees then you are mistaken. Unless they can exploit their workers, pollute as they wish (including the cheap unfiltered coal power plants that provide their electricity), and overall have little to no regulations to follow then we could make stuff as cheaply here in the west. Obviously they can cut corners to make stuff cheaper there. Not to mention these are spineless copies. Japanese companies have massive-scale mass-production to also have very cheap watches despite following proper rules and treating people and nature right, and their designs are original.
