I bought myself a V8 vantage 2 years ago from a older man he knew the value of the car but he couldn’t afford to maintain it because his transmission would keep failing I bought it of him with a failed transmission for 15k Which is shockingly cheap for a Aston of course repairing or getting a new transmission cost me s fortune but so far o havnt had it fail yet and it’s been a blast to drive

By the way free bit of possibly useful information, where the car is a performance car it probably holds a fair amount of brake force and fluid meaning if it’s sits for a long period of time they may seize on so that initial clutch smell may be brakes holding the disc causing the car to struggle to move underload, I’d check that first before spending 5k on a clutch 😂
