I Bought an eBay Splitter for my MK7 Jetta

I bought a cheep eBay bumper splitter for my MK7 Jetta and it went about as well as you think it did.

I bought this for my mk6.5 jetta facelift, 2 years later still on tight, the screws they come with rust really quick. I put stainless steel screws in with washers.

Ya know, I've been looking for any body kits/mods for the MK7 GLI and I have come across almost nothing. I mean in the end it didn't turn out too bad but hopefully it stays attached.

I have this same splitter but struggling with installation. Did you drill the holes under the car first before putting the screws? And did you buy knots? Or you just used the screws directly

So I just drilled in the splitter without pilot holes. I'd definitely recommend making a mark for where you want to drill once you know exactly where you want the splitter to sit, make a pilot hole, and then drill completely. I also used the screws thay came with the kit, but I've heard they rust pretty easily, so I'd also recommend picking up some heartier screws from your local hardware store.

3 questions? Have you gone through a car was with it? Number 2 does it make loud wind noise? Number 3. Did you notice a reduced MPG?

1. I don't do car washes, so unsure about if it would snag at all. 2. No noticeable wind noise. 3. No noticeable change in MPG

Got this for my mk7 jetta r-line. It FLEW off my bumper when I hit 130 mph.

I don't unfortunately, but it was pretty easy. Just attach double sided tape on the spoiler, line it up right, and press it on. 😊

@@kaylee_hobbz your Jetta looks nice especially with that bicycle roof rack. My mk6 has a rack as well. This makes me think wether to do some mods on it like adding a type R front fascia, angel eyes led headlamps, a small rear spoiler on the trunk lid, 18 inch eight spoke white wheels since it’s paid off and I haven’t had any mechanical issues with it and keep it a little bit longer and not have to have car payments or trade it in for an mk7 gli. The more I look at the mk7, the more I like it. Especially the GLI. 🧐
