I've been searching for a 80s Chevy C10 this whole time with no luck. (All rust buckets) Just the other day I ended finding a 84' Dodge Ram D150 rust free which I've decided to get. I finally got my square body truck!

I had an '87 D150 that I bought brand new in December 1986, first brand new vehicle I ever owned and it was a 225 with automatic also, guessing the aluminum intake is from one of the Feather Duster or Dart Lite cars from 1976, they were special made with a lot of aluminum components both body and engine to save weight and hopefully get better fuel mileage

Holy crap, I wasn't expecting to see Willow Springs, hahaha. Great video! I love my 89 D100 (though it needs a lot of work).

Tracy that looks like my first vehicle but it had the 318, it was that light chevy blue. That truck looks like it would be a good one to daily drive.

Kinda like this... I feel that the man was honest with you and so its a first gen dodge, not a lot of demand for one unless its four wheel drive or at least here in alaska. Our roads are better than yours as we don't have many and so well maintained for the most part. Its our winters that beg for traction. I liked that first gen cause instead of taking the hood off, its just push it all the way back an it sets on the windshield to change engines. I pulled and put one of those leaning towers of power in a truck less than a hours time. But if I were the seller and it was my first, I think it would leave when it finally rusted in to pieces on the road

I'm interested in about getting one myself. My first vehicle ever was a Dodge Dakota 2005. Even though she's beating up a little bit , the Dodge do runs great bit. That made me get hooked on Dodges and then I bought a 2011 dodge Ram 3500 diesel. And now I'm looking about getting a Dodge d 100 or 150.

Here's a tip from a guy that has had several of the old Dodge trucks....look real hard all over the outside and underneath to see if you can find any spots of non rusted steel on the body, frame, or undercarriage. If you can you have a real rare beast indeed. Most of the old Dodge trucks don't have that unrusted metal condition. Those old Dodge trucks were rust buckets indeed that is why there are so few of them left. I bought a brand new 1977 one ton that was totally shot in 12 years even after getting undercoated when new and new doors and a total repaint after 6 years. Box rotted right off the frame first then 2 years later the cab did...pretty sad. After I towed that one to the junk yard I bought a used 1980 that was right out of the body shop wearing new paint that one lasted about 2 years then I sold it because it was going fast. Dodge never got it right. Not until 2010 when RAM took over...

Wow. Then I feel like I found a gem! I just bought a 84 Dodge Ram D150 short 318 5.2 V8. Its completely rust free from the rocker panels, floor panels, under wheelbase. I even used my magnet to check everywhere and it sticks hard all the time. I did pay 8k. I feel like I found a rare gem especially after you're experience.
