Esthetician here! The LED light mask is normally very safe and widely used in facial treatments. As I’ve seen many LED masks, this felt a bit on the “cheaply made” side, which could mean a harsher light, but not all the time. Also, if you’re skin isn’t used it it, there could be some slight erythema (redness) forming. No fear though, it just means your skin is stimulating and there’s blood flowing! I would keep using it in all the colours since the best results form after long use. Love your videos! 💜

Hey Soph, dunno if you're gonna read this but I just wanted to give some advice on tattoos - if you want one, go for it. i know you're terrified of needles, I am too, but tattoo needles are completely different to surgical needles. you won't be able to see the actual needles and your face won't be anywhere the tattooers hand. (especially now with covid) For your first tattoo, don't go with a wrist tattoo. it's incredibly sensitive and it'll bleed alot, which along with your needle phobia, will probably freak you out. Get a tiny little tattoo somewhere that's easily hidden. go for it, 100%. Im deathly afraid of needles, and have nearly 30 tattoos :)

Some girly advice: Use the tampons on your heaviest day and make sure it's saturated when you take it out so it doesn't hurt, or even pee first and then take it out. Still wear a pantiliner just in case you pick the wrong size at first. Best of luck!
@kmhbobjones3 жыл бұрын
Also, just to add to this, don’t put it in all the way to the end of the applicator. Put it up until the end of the thicker bit- that way you know it’s securely in the right place as it’s the size of the tampon itself rather than the stick too. That’s just to help you push it in ☺️☺️

@Sophie Louise No you were almost correct, they're just arms instead of legs. They are not tentacles.
@Lindseyisloony3 жыл бұрын
Uh NOPE, not tentacles. Sophie was closer than you cause they do not actually have tentacles at all. Squid and cuttlefish have feeding tentacles in addition to arms while an octopus has only arms. It's one of the 2 most common misconceptions about them. The other one is that the plural for them is "octopi". That misconception comes from people thinking "octopus" is of latin origin when it's really not and the mistake is SO COMMON that it's actually been deemed an acceptable alternative at this point despite not making sense. The correct plurals are "octopuses" and "octopodes", although I can't say I've ever seen "octopodes" used professionally.

I rarely use anything except tampons but we don't really have the ones with applicators here, and they kinda freak me out whenever I see them in videos, I totally agree that she should test out both versions. It was so cute watching Soph figure out how to use a tampon. ❤ Push BOTTOM plastic piece up, which will push the cotton piece into you. Then, pull the whole applicator down and out. The only piece that should be left in you is the cotton piece. The reason it broke when you tried it the first time is because you pushed the top applicator piece down, instead of pushing the bottom part up, and then pulling the whole thing out.

Hey Sophie, really love your videos, I just have a suggestion. When you do these videos and include things that would take time to see a difference (e.g. skin care/hair care/teeth whitening), it would be nice if we could see the whole process. I remember in past videos where you've said 'obviously I cant see results yet after one try' and I think if you could actually show the process, the video would be more helpful. I'm not going to know if a product is worth buying if I've only seen someone use it once and don't know if it works. Personally I think putting more time into one video and getting to see the results is better than seeing 2 videos where you'd only test the item once.

I do find that some people are allergic to certain lights! Me and my friend both have reactions to the LED lamps when we do our gel nails, but the exact same gel varnish uncured is fine!

Agree with you with the smell of the Charlotte tilbury airbrush foundation as I own it aswell and thought it did. Just a tip when you next use Apply with a brush and then go over with a beauty blender afterwards. Honestly the coverage is flawless. x

Hi Sophie! You don't need to put the applicator of the tampon in in. Just need to pop it a little bit. You'll have to do it a couple times because the angle at which you put it in is important thus why I'd recommend popping it in with one leg up on a chair or bed or whatever. At least for the first few times you do it. You'll know if it isn't in properly because you'll be very aware that it's there when this happens I just get a clean finger and gently push the tampon in a bit further and gently forward or back depending on if it feels like there's excess pressure to one side or the other. A lot of the ways people mess up putting tampons in is either putting it too far or too shallow. Or by it being at the wrong angle. The angle issue is just that you want to point it towards your tail bone, not straight upwards. How far in however is completely down to your own body so it takes some experimentation. Best of luck on your little sanitary product journey! And whatever you're most comfortable with please do stick with and know there's nothing wrong with whatever products you use (For example peoples stigma against pads, but I myself can't use anything else anymore because I have fibromyalgia and tampons and cups hurt too much nowadays, but used to be fine) it's all about your comfort. There's nothing wrong about any option you decide on. (This goes for anyone who may be reading this 💕)

Lucy, thank you! I’ve read comment after comment about not using plastic applicators, if that is what works best to help make our periods a little bit easier DO IT! I’m sick of seeing girls shaming other girls on what they use, it’s not nice at all.

Your testing clip for the tampon reminds me of the first time I tried tampons. I was very confused for a moment then I was like "oooooooo". Looking forward to that video to see what you thought of the different things! 😊
