If you are keeping the pops for yourself I see nothing wrong with buying fakes. Saves you money in the long run and they look fairly similar. And if you are gonna say, “well you gotta support the companies that make them” then Trust me when I say that the companies are multi million dollar companies that will not give a hoot about you, help yourself and enjoy whatever you wanna buy real or fake. If it saves you money go for it.

Jeancarlo Villatoro the main reason for people to collect them is to try and get a profit in the future. you won't be able to do that with fakes. but if it's for personal use then I see no problem with it as long as the company selling it says it's fake. but buying a fake mona Lisa painting won't ever have the same feeling as owning the real one. P.S it's illigal to buy counterfeit items in the U.S.

I wouldn't call these fake exactly. Its tricky. Its not 100% fake. Amd ill explain why. Its made from the same cast. Most pops r made in china or Vietnam. Which means people steal extras or prototype printed items. So is it fake yes and no. Its literally coming from the same place as the real ones just not made "properly"

While yes, you could say they are fake because they weren't produced legitimately or sold through official Funko outsources, the Pop itself isn't really fake. Essentially, in the countries where these are produced, often there are spare or additional molds that are thrown away, or acquired by certain people. These people produce the Pops that you call "Fake", but technically they aren't because they're still coming from the official mold.

It would be great if you could find out where the real Funko Pops are manufactured. I live in Everett WA in the USA and the Funko HQ is located there. Many say the real ones are manufactured here, but I don't know. The Pops I buy at the actual Funko HQ Store in Everett WA also shows Made in China.

It’s possible workers in the factory ran off a few 100 or 1000 using, left over plastics, or just pre-production extras to insure the molds were ok before running bulk. They are clearly from the same mold, therefore would have some collector interest. I was expecting the mold to be of poor quality or different. This is a funko factory item. And as the OP said, could be production pops, pulled by QC, not to standard, meant to be destroyed, and saved by workers. This happens in CD’s , action figures pretty much in most collecting.

I got a fake Overwatch USA McCree. The box material was so cheap feeling, the box itself was not even built like regular boxes and it came in crap condition. It was missing that sub-title under "Pop!" where it was supposed to say "games". The printing on the box was awful, and it was also missing all Funko logos

When I was a kid, my godmother bought me a pack of pokemon cards from downtown LA lol and if your not familiar with the area, the location alone should give it away. I noticed the moment the cards came out of the packaging that they were fake. The print job was terrible they were dark and felt weird in my hands. I actually bought some Fake items on purpose. They were the Figma Archtype Male and Female bodies. They are articulated figures for drawing reference. I figured when I could buy a set for $20 instead of $50 each they had to be fake. But if they had the articulation and didn't fall apart every time i posed them, then that would work for me. They looked just like the real thing, joints are tight, but, they do pop out on occasion. They also arrived in a bag from China. The packaging did look like the real thing, and even the stands had Figma molded into them...one of which broke fairly quickly.

Eric Hawkins I bought a figma skyward sword link figure, and as soon as it arrived, I was pissed. I knew it wasn't gonna be real, since it was coming from china, but my god, the painting was terrible, there was still excess plastic on the weapons, the figure smelt weird, the stand broke immediately, but the thing that pissed me off to my core, was his hands, waste and face/hair fell out so easily, that if you even touched it slightly, it would just crumble, it was ( apart from the neca jungle hunter predator, which I don't know if it's real or fake ) the worst experience I have had with a figure in my entire life

SO since i really wanted those characters from the movies I got a few custom made. and i LOVE them. but hey at least with that person the entire transaction was honest, not like when fakes are claimed to be official. Some pops can have paint blemishes/scrapes. Also check the bottom for a stamp that is like 8-10 letters and numbers, which can be like a white sticker or just carved into the box

Question: I have the 2012 Skeletor #19 that I bought years ago, I wanna say 2014 or 2015 from ebay a vendor in the UK. Recently we noticed there is a black sticker on the bottom back of the box, another on the front covering the "Warning Chocking Hazard" verbiage, and on the bottom a warning 14+ sticker. I emailed Funko and they said it looks real and they have come across such stickers when Pops come from Europe. He does have the A# on his foot. Has anyone else come across something like this? Is it a counterfeit? Any thoughts? Thank you!

I got a fake Laser Power He-Man, MOC vintage figure. Didn't notice till I receive it and it said METTAL instead of MATTEL on it. The accessories were also custom made. Like badly made. Hiya Ive been collecting funko pops for a while. But with the serial numbers on the pops, they are the mostly short white numbers and ive brought them direct from a company who sells for funko i know they are 100% legit. But i brought a couple of ebay bidding from sellers selling on there collection and ive got some with all the marking still but the number on the bottom of pops are really long black numbers. Could still be real im not sure as dont really understand what to look out for with the codes/numbers on bottom of pops. But almost all mine have white short numbers and then a couple that arrived today have long numbers in black. Any idea if this is normal? For example the one that arrived today game of thrones 42 melisandre has a long black number on the bottom where as my other game of thrones ones ive got have got short white numbers on the bottom of the pops?
