I would support the MOC creator even if the price for the parts was even close to the LEGO option - a little more or less for the reasons that you've outlined. I'm okay with "knock-off" sets unless it impacts other's work (which in many cases it does)... Thank you for your research and great review of this set!

I think I’m right in saying that the latest knock off version copies the 2024 Lego version. Don’t know how good it is.
