Not gonna lie, I think you should finally replace those B8 cymbals for some B20 ones. It would really boost your overall drum sound quality, especially since B8 cymbals tend to sound really cheap in recordings. I would also advice you to practice doing solid rimshots more, it really helps give that powerful "pop" sound in your drumming.
