I had a 2020 Tesla Model S with free supercharging for life, and really enjoyed the car…until I was in an accident just three weeks ago. Good luck getting your car into a shop accredited by Tesla if it happens to you. I was told that I would have to wait six weeks-just to make an appointment for an estimate for repair. I was also told that I would then need to wait at least a month after that for the estimate to occur. Following that, parts would be ordered, with up to six months delay before repairs would commence. During each waiting period, the wreck would be my problem to store-the repair facilities did not have room. I was saved by my insurance company; they totaled the car and saved my sanity. Again, it was a very nice car. Be sure you have a good insurance policy and a helpful agent before you buy one.
