Awesome I have a 1970 RT challenger with a 440 magnum four-speed pistol grip super cool car I’ve had it for 23 years really love it I keep it stored in my warehouse with a cover so it’s in great shape 86,000 all original miles. I also have a 1970 SS Camaro with a 396 numbers matching three speed automatic I have the original build sheet found it underneath the seat when I was putting in a carpet kit, and a 55 Chevy nomad V8 with dealer installed AC super cool car. The sad thing is over the past 20 years I’ve put on about 1500 miles between all three of my cars it’s always been one thing or another busy I started to change the oil take them for a ride around the block but they should be driven sometimes I think they deserve a new owner so that people can enjoy them I’m just not sure what to do. On your original note I think the 340 was one of the coolest strongest nicest small blocks ever made what a powerhouse.

You're a good man Derek, this video warmed my heart. For a young man like you, who tries to portray himself as a scatter brained, ne'er do well, the reality is, you have it figured out. First, you include your family in all that you do, and make it interesting and a learning experience for the young ones. Because of this, I'm confident it will pay benefits down the line, with well rounded, confident young adults, who won't end up being statistics, or homeless, or addicted to opioids, or whatever rotten trend bored kids can find their way into. There's a closeness there that all young families can learn from, every one secure in his/her role, and important to the whole. You have it right by not putting the importance on a 9-5 existence, instead, keeping it interesting and always on an upward learning curve. You have a patient and beautiful wife who shares your interests and lifestyle, and well, basically, you are a very rich man. Money isn't the way to happiness, spending money never bought it, however, it's how you spend the most valuable thing we all have, but few recognize, your time. I'm certain, when you're old, and your hips lock up, the knees and the back's decline can only be measured by some type of protractor, you will be able to look back and say, I wouldn't change a thing; and you will recognize that the love and closeness, inclusiveness, you instilled in your family, will be evident, when their families keep you and your lovely wife a part of their adventures. In all seriousness, God bless you and yours Derek, and continue delighting the world with your unique, good and clean channel!!!

You know, speaking from the UK, I love the wide open spaces you visit, fantastic scenery and the easy going attitude that you have about the everyday around you. It really shines through. But above all, if ever there was a way of teaching 'little humans' to grow into fine, useful and compassionate members of society, this is it. I couldn't be more impressed. It's like a masterclass in parenting skills. You are both a fine example to us all. Thoroughly enjoyed this edition of VGC, Thank you!! :-)

Hey Derek, did you see that nice fellow Brad, at Blind Guy Garage? I don't know if your "Meet Derek" contest winner is CHOSEN by you, or just a random drawing, but I'm sure pulling for this nice, deserving man to win it. Have you seen his video, asking you for his consideration? He has a Squarebody K5 Blazer, 2 Squarebody Suburbans, some other cool old Chevys, and 2 junkyard LS motors. He's legally blind and but has 4 adopted kids and a mower repair business.

Thank you so much I must say I don't want credit for being a veteran I am not one my eyes are messed up before I can get into any service. And I have five kids. LOL and I don't have any diesels. Again thank you so much for mentioning me I greatly appreciate it. God bless you and yours.
@pookysdad48843 жыл бұрын
@@blindguygarage Brad, I coulda swore that K5 was a diesel. And that ya did 16 years in the service before yer eyes went bad. Defective memory card, I guess. I knew ya had 5 kids, but 4 of em were adopted, which don't happen by accident the way mine did 🤣. EDIT: I went back and edited my original comment, Brad. I took out the erroneous info. I wonder who the hell I was talkin' to who was a 16 year veteran before his medical discharge?? 🤔

Videos like this are what VGG is all about. Driving 1,700 miles in a beater, not knowing whether it's gonna make it, or if it's going to fly apart on the highway.
