I have 2 90s k2500s. I love them. My 93 has a cammed 5.3 and my 90 has a centrifugal supercharged 350 fueled by holley sniper. Roller cam, trick flow heads. Nice score on that long-ass truck. Mine are both regular cab long beds.

@living in a desert I have a lot of stuff filmed but need to get some edited and uploaded. Working all the time. Worked for a few hours this morning. Getting ready to go out and work overnight. That supercharger is pretty badass. I'm looking at setting up an air-to-water intercooler. In my last video, I said I'd have a holley sniper tuning video and trans swap video coming up. I haven't thrown any footage together yet.

Man, I’ve been watching that truck on marketplace for a while lol, just couldn’t find a reason that I really needed it lmao. But man, that really is a time capsule. To find a big block, one ton, crew cab nearly rust free and original in Michigan, and for that price, that’s a once in a lifetime deal right there bro! That beast easily has another 300k+ in it! Helluva score man!

The only way I know of to mod those TBI engines is by replacing it with a carb/intake with an HEI. The TBI has to have a set amount of vacuum for the computer to be happy, anything outside of its parameters will run like shit. But a small cam and a 4 barrel will wake up the power a crazy amount! Honest don’t waste money trying to work with the TBI been there done that. JD

As an owner operator and having owned and ran the road close to 20 years I will agree because I've owned tandem tractors with interlocking rears for wet offroad conditions however my latest truck a 97 fld single axle is the baddest towing truck I've ever owned it's as capable as any tandem if not more efficient in most applications it's a 10spd Eaton and can out pull most other tractors loaded or bobbing! I'm also averaging 7 mpg with a Detroit 60 so yeah it's more efficient as well.

Its rated 230hp 385tq from the factory (net rating) i believe. Gross hp and torque is about 330hp/440tq. They definitely have small cams in them. I found the specs when looking for a new cam for mine. It 193/202 duration at .050 and .419 lift. I put an air fuel ratio gauge in mine, it runs at 14.7 mostly unless its cold or if i accelerate from low rpms then it will go to roughly 13.0:1. The power difference is quite noticeable between the two. It would be interesting to see what yours runs at. Any way cool truck. Lookin forward to seeing what you do with it.

When you're ready for some new tires, take it to your local Walmart and have a set of Goodyear Wrangler Trailmarks put on. They are quite reasonably priced and they are a bit aggressive, but not overtly aggressive. They are available in 10 ply which is what your truck will call for. Probably an LT245/75R16E from the looks of them. I've got those exact same tires on my 99 Silverado 4X4 and it's never left me hanging. dannyo66's recommendation.
