For the mirror I used a two part epoxy and taped the piece in place until the next day then I hung the mirror on it. It works like a charm. Just put enough epoxy on to cover the entire piece that you're putting on the windshield. The tape it in place to allow the expoxy to cure

Had the same problem with my mirror falling off the windshield. I used the glue made for windshield applications. Dont use anything else. Follow the directions to the tee. Your truck is sweet. Love the things you are adding on to it. Doesn't that add a lot of weight to it? You are very consistent with content. I'm thinking you'd be better off with a hitch mount winch for the truck. The you'd be able to throw it in either receiver of the truck(and also add a mount somewhere else on the trailer if you were feeling real adventurous) Do what you want. If you do a hitch receiver and put the forklift quick disconnects on the truck front and rear then you can use that winch from the truck for the freight trailer. Or have a reciever on the trailer and only need to buy winch.

I would definitely try to keep those frame mounted D rings/Tow hooks. If you would need a winch, you would need those frame mounted rings.

I find the nice thing about having the factory mounted d-rings is that I can use a recovery rope or kinetic rope real quick for those fast pullbacks pullouts when people get stuck in snow drifts

@@CPSteveMiller Then all your pull would be on the bumper and bumper mounting bolts. Hitch mounted D ring is so much weaker then frame mounted D rings/Tow hooks. And usually most winch pulls are never straight on. You might have to winch out your 9k truck. With a 10k winch and snatch block you would be putting 20k pulling on the bumper and bumper mounting bolts.

Leave the hooks on the front .. you can always snatch block and hook back to them if you ever need to pull yourself out of trouble....

Mines did something similar to that but not as popping a little bit less tone down and I found out it was my fuel lines were rotted out after I added a fass lift pump and new lines it revs properly

Get a winch mount for your receivers. Then you can use it front, back or on your trailer. Best of all worlds, and you are saving your front axle components from the extra weight. I made my own because like you, I'm cheap! For your headache rack - get some large LED multifunction lights and backup lights and mount them up there. At night the ones on mine lights up the world. No way anyone alongside my trailer doesn't know I'm turning, stopping or backing up. Or maybe your lightbar can include those lights...that might be better still.

If theft is common in your area you might want to weld that headache rack on. Someone stole mine i just had few bolts holding it on, this time i put few spot welds as well as bolts with loctite. The last thing you would ever expect to get stolen

Leave the hooks on the front of the truck you'll find them very handy if you're ever in a position and you're trying to pull yourself out with your winch

You might want to put some foam or rubber between the bottom of the headache rack and a top of the bed rail because if you don't it'll rust and leak down the outside of your bed, just a thought, appreciate the videos!

Auto parts stores sell a glue kit to put the plate back on the windshield for your rearview mirror. I've never had a problem with them.

You need the button for the mirror and then go to any auto supply store and get the glue kit to install it on the windshield. The instructions will say to use it sparingly but that's bullshit, the more the better and allow it to harden before you hang the mirror
