I agree with you on the generator thing I always wondered why they didn't make a hybrid with a little gas powered motor that just charges the battery but I suppose that's counterproductive

I bet their range test was done without a rider - therefore neglecting the large air resistance added, the increased rolling resistance, etc.

I got a cheap c91 48v 17ah 1200w peak it does 35mph right out the box. Daily commute is 20 miles back and forth. Still have a quarter charge when I get home going full throttle for the vast majority of my ride. I slapped a super 73 seats on it with some cafe clip on handlebars and a small windshield. Been a lot of fun
