I would love to see a bob Ross calendar with actual paint, paintbrushes, etc, so you could create a mini Bob Ross painting by Christmas .That would be amazing!! *

Totally agree, missed opportunity to let the user be creative. I feel like they kind of got lazy with it. I know Chloe seemed to like it, but personally I would have been deeply disappointed as somebody who grew up on Bob Ross's original shows. Flimsy paper "ornaments" and little sayings just feel like taking the easy way out to me. That could have been so much more than it was. Cynical cash grab for Ross fans.

@kratze1738 Well said! As someone who also grew up on the originals and now paints in oil frequently, I would buy it every year!

@@kratze1738 It’s kind of sad to me how many money grab low quality Bob Ross projects there are now, when that is the antithesis of everything he embodied while alive. They will slap his name on anything now for a quick buck. Bob would not approve. So disappointing.

The Crayola one is fantastic, as rarely do you get any advent calendar with activities to occupy the kids. And honestly I’d buy it as a tiny outlet for myself, as we adults tend to get bogged down with complexities and perfection when it comes to art but this lets you get back to your roots of just having fun with art.*

I honestly think the play-doh calender would have been saved if they put the the larger projects at the end of the calendar, and the goal was like to make one or two ornaments or accessories a day with each little mold. like you make one angel, you make one bell, you make one little train, and then midway through you get to make rudolph, so you know you have to save stuff to keep going, and then at the very end you can make the snow man and decorate the tree. a little more thought going into that and it would have knocked it out of the park, I think! *

Meg, best wishes for your journey. I’m so glad you are doing ok. It takes balls of steel. Congratulations on finding coping mechanisms like Chloe’s videos that help. Feel free to ignore these suggestions, but may I make a couple which might help me you distracted, but are unlikely for the algorithm to pick and and feed you from Chloe. (I suspect it will have fed you people like Rae as she is friends with Chloe for example). Doodle Date, which is run by Adam and Steph. They have an ongoing crayola battle, and are my personal comfort KZbinrs. Sarah Burns. Who is in Scotland and a professional landscape artist, mind will be blown. The cinematography is lovely and I love watching her outside painting on days when I’m not well enough to go outside. If you need a cry fest….Rewilding Jude. As he described it in one video, ‘all my rainy days came at once’. He’s now bought a cottage in the middle of nowhere and is finding a way to convince himself life is worth living again. He’s formally a yarn dyer and used to KZbin, but this is a new venture. The comment section is incredibly supportive. Retro Claud. Is a disabled seamstress/tailor/knitter etc specialising in vintage. But her content focuses on ‘good enough’ rather than perfect, and how to get by with the situation you are in, which I find applies to many situations in life and very helpful. And her work is beautiful. Atomic Shrimp. Run by Mike. One of the most eclectic channels there is. Features weird stuff in a can, scam baiting, foraging, recipes, recipe redemption, I can unbox anything, gardening, science experiments, rambling and endless amounts of information. He even has a spot dedicated to positive comments.

The reason I love your channel is your not totally serious about art and overly intense, like some artists on other channels. It's lighthearted and fun, rather than overbearing and serious. The information you give is always relevant and honest, not fake or because a company has given you a product so you have to be nice about it. Plus, it's always fun and entertaining watching your videos, as if a minor disaster is coming and we are all just waiting for the punchline.

RE the crayola: There are also plenty of ways to use "kids' art supplies" without just making kids' art. I've used their crayons in non drawing craft projects because you can rely on them to have a lot of pigment in the wax. They also sell air dry clays which are a great introduction to clay without worrying about firing and such, and I'm guessing they have other little craft projects like christmas ornaments. At the end of the day, they're a brand with a reasonable reputation which is something you need when planning a craft project and it's more than can be said for a lot of amazon brands. *

Kid me would’ve loved all the coloring activities and word search. Adult me would be even more allergic to most of the supplies, but still want to color all the coloring pages and do the word search. Holly is backwards near the middle by the way. Crayola did really well with that set. I think the Play-Doh one would need to be over a couple of days. “You have to be good and you can open up this door after breakfast” and so on every hour. Or just open them all at once and, sadly, forget the calendar aspect. Side note: I’m fed up with my cursed extreme latex allergy. I really, really want that bear desk mat. 😫 It’s so cute, and I can think of a bunch of uses. *
