Tv this size should be mounted on a stand no more than 12 inches high.Centre of picture should be at seated eye level for relaxed viewing.

I have this TV and in several places (like AVS forums) they say you should take the black level (under brightness) imto the negative to get deeper more accurate blacks. And it definitely helps. I have an OLED as well and with the right calibration this looks very close and has some very deep blacks.

Can anyone tell me if they saw what I saw during the end of the unboxing and setting up the TV, the brand on the box it says Hisense, but when he is showing the picture quality on the screen it says LG. These are 2 different brands, and for sure they are independent makers. 8:09

@@emcdyckman68 Ah, the classic ‘TV Identity Crisis’-a Hisense on the box but an LG on the screen! It’s like ordering a burger and finding a pizza inside. My guess? Either some KZbin wizardry at play or someone swapped TVs faster than we could say ‘4K Ultra HD.’ Maybe the unboxing video decided it needed a little plot twist to keep things spicy! Is it a Hisense or an LG TV we may never know.

I just checked out that TV, and it does look amazing! A bit out of my budget at the moment, though. I think the Hisense 100 U8 has some similar specs, so I'd be curious to see a comparison with the Sony X90L. Honestly, Hisense has really stepped up their game lately. I used to think of them as the budget TV option, but some of their premium models have impressed me, especially given the price point.

Nice! Also consider whether a projector is a good fit for your use case. That's the route I'm taking for a screen of this size and beyond. The Hisense C2 Ultra looks quite good.

I kept going back and forth between options. I had an older HD short-throw projector, but I’ve always wanted to try a big TV. With prices dropping so much, I decided to give it a shot. We'll see how long I stick with this setup! Haha.

@@sahaf8513 I absolutely love it! The TV is sufficiently bright, especially if you have ample natural light and other lighting sources. I also find the anti-glare feature to be very effective.

That’s the crazy part KZbin compresses there 4K content so if I had some real 4K video, it would even look better. I’ll mess with the settings and different formats when I have a little bit of more time.

@@DCN133 yeah I saw Costco too! I almost was gonna buy that one there, but there is no way to get that into our SUV. Thought about maybe strapping it into the roof, but that thing is heavy! I have been messing with the settings. I do feel like the quality in My Home is better than what was shown on the TV. Your do need to mess with the settings. I think that they optimize it for energy efficient. I’ve watched a couple movies on it so far and they were great. It really felt like I was in the movie theater. I’ll have to mess with regular TV and some football games. And see how the refresh rate looks on that.

I’m releasing a follow-up video tonight that will cover the dimensions of the TV. If I remember correctly, the height was around 20 inches, and the distance between the two feet was 55 inches. Ah, I need to reshoot this entire video. Filming a TV in a dark room with a cellphone caused a bloom effect on the video. Trust me, it doesn’t look like that in real life.

I’m currently on the hunt for a TV stand that’s both visually appealing and functional. I’ve found one that caught my eye, but it would need some customization to fit the width of the TV legs. Considering the price point, though, I think it’s a bit steep. I’ll be researching and exploring other options for mounts and TV stands and plan to share my findings in a video by the end of the week. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the options I come across! A TV of this size definitely requires some extra thought, but I’m loving the challenge-and loving the TV even more!

All the people complaining about height, but then recline their chair and lay back, jacking up their neck by looking down across their chest. I love TV’s mounted higher and think it looks great!

I was considering upgrading to the U8 series and going for the 100-inch model, but that ended up being outside of my budget. The U8 series is undeniably a superior TV, though it does come with a higher price tag-about an additional thousand dollars. That said, for the price, I’m genuinely impressed with this one. Is your TV mounted, or are you using the stand? I still can’t get over the size; it’s mind-blowing. Whenever I look at our 55-inch or 65-inch TVs, they just seem so small now.

@@frankfossaceca9616 I’ve had a projector setup before and have also checked out some of the new ultra-short throw models. At the end of the day, though, I simply prefer a TV over a projector setup. It’s kind of like comparing a traditional bike to an e-bike-both are fantastic options, but they offer completely different experiences.

Totally agree JMARTS! The picture quality of ANY TV over 65" is HORRIBLE! The distortion and the motion processing makes these TVs hard to watch. And the colors are so washed out. The only way they are better is the immersion. Get a premium Sony, LG, or Samsung OLED in a 65" and sit 8 to 10' away and you will be in heaven!!!

@@billtinnell2206 I recorded this using my cell phone camera, so blooming is inevitable unless you’re a professional videographer with the skills to minimize it. I’ve owned Sony and Samsung TVs and have friends who’ve spent a lot on those brands. Honestly, this TV performs even better than those. I’m thrilled with it-it truly delivers. I’ve seen other high-end TVs, and this one holds its own. It’s incredible. Hisense does offer some budget-friendly options, but take a look at their U series. These aren’t low-budget TVs-they feature advanced dimming zones and impressive peak brightness, which are key for delivering that stunning picture quality you’re looking for. No regrets with this TV-it’s absolutely awesome, and the price makes it even better.
