There are smaller Android devices with WAY more modern OSes, a proper mid-tier performance SoC and a proper LTE modem like the Unihertz Jelly 2/2E/2S series. Would be interesting to see a review / teardown of those since they look like a pain to take apart just from the outside.

Micro SD card slot Headphone Jack These are the most practical and simple points of engaging with technology. A wire always works, and we all know, any amount of on board storage is never enough, and if the phone fails, it takes down all the data with it, unlike the card which is also a storage and backup option that can save the day.

Interesting device - there's probably some use case for a small phone with smart capabilities. Too bad it's only Android 6.0 (which is too old to support most stuff now) and also it only supports 3G networking. 3G is being shut down in various countries, and 2G has also been shut down in various countries as well, thereby making 4G a necessity.

The oldest version of android 4.4 kitkat with apps still work. There are still apps on the google play store that don't support the newest version of android or even android 11 since some of the apps says there were designed for an older version of android. The app developer never updated the app. Some of the apps that I use are still old and still functional and don't offer anything new. Android was designed to operate on older versions of android as well as newer versions of android. I'm glad that android still supports the older versions android. I sideload apps that are no longer supported on the newer versions of android but they were removed due to copyright reasons. I sideloaded the google play now launcher android 4.4 version with my pixel 4a 5g running android 11 since I never updated the software on myself pixel 4a 5g. I only updated the apps from the google play store on my pixel 4a 5g. I left the software exactly the same when I first bought the pixel 4a 5g when the pixel 4a 5g first came out. The only issues are the display has gotten burn in, the display has gotten dimmer overtime, the battery drains quickly, the standby still last for multiple days even though it drains quickly while I have notifications all running in the background while being connected to my wifi and while using the phone and the phone still charges fast and the 128gb storage is almost completely full. I bought a battery case on amazon for my pixel 4a 5g. LOther than that, my pixel 4a 5g still works the same way when I first bought it. The google now launcher functionality still works even though it was removed from the google play store and no longer supported.

The modded youtube is called vanced youtube, the only thing that I don't like about the modded version of youtube is that the display brightness is dimmer than using the regular youtube version. I had to login with my google account since the youtube is the micro g version. The vanced version of youtube from the google play store was removed because it was exactly like the regular youtube and offers features that the youtube premium version uses. Google had youtube vanced removed since they found out that it was using the same features as youtube premium for free so people don't have to pay for youtube premium. The micro g is google proprietary software when I googled it that's why it's needed to login with my google account to use vanced youtube.

It's completely bizarre that Samsung only offers the SD card and headphone jack on its entry level A-series. It's not a matter of having enough space on the phone chassis, they could easily offer those features on the flagships if they wanted to, like on the S10 series. They're just following Apple's degenerate model of upselling storage and accessories to the users who are willing to spend the most money. Sadly all they're doing is denying the flagship users from having the best experience possible for their money.

Even in the mid-2000s phone cameras were often a joke. I seem to remember my Siemens from that era produced pictures that were something like 300x200 pixels, if that. Extracting them required a proprietary cable and software and the pictures were little more than blurry postage stamps. My last dumbphone, a ca.-2015 Nokia, had a VGA camera (640x480 pixels) that produced terribly washed-out pictures. It did have Bluetooth but every single picture had to be transmitted separately. I'm not sure if it was even able to record video but it might have.

I remember buying one of these small phones might have been the same size as yours, if not smaller, but I rooted it and put alliance ROM on it, it only cost me $0.99 at Walmart, but it's been quite some time since I purchased it, and I no longer have it.

My girlfriend's friend's boyfriend had one of these and he looked moronic using it (because it was his daily driver). He thought it was sleek and hip. I'd be embarrassed to whip that thing out: "it's not small, it's just really cold in here!"

Why not though? If they made it more modern with an oled screen that filled the whole area and a decent spec and recent androis os.

I wish you would have simply tried making and receiving a phone call on it. The small easy-to-carry size can be useful for a phone you use for nothing more than making and answering calls. Thanks for a good video.

Unihertz Jelly line has better alternatives fro this size though it costs more too. I don't see the point of phones this tiny (rather would look for a foldable, they are perfect one handed phones closed) but It's a clool piece of tech. Funny to think back to the mid-late 2000s where a 3 inch screen was considered big.

This phone has the long-boi hybrid (SIM+microSD) tray. But you can actually get a dedicated triple slot in the same footprint of a dual SIM (side-by-side) tray, but thicker as the microSD goes on the reverse side! Which still baffles me as to why it isn't more common!🤦🏻‍♂️
