This camera seller is typical of the high pressure hustlers who accuse pawn shops of being cheats and rip offs. His shit is gold and his word is hocus pocus when he turns out to be a conman. I would have not dealt with the bum. I would have told him to come back for your dad to deal with. He talked over you and ignored your concerns completely. He also does not know how eBay works and would not let you tell him otherwise. I have been on eBay for 25 years and it does not work anything like he was saying it works.

Ebay is a buyers platform. Even if you list an item as "no returns" Ebay can still make you take it back. Unscrupulous buyers will take off parts and then send back the item.

I am an eBay seller and I can tell you right now. eBay ALWAYS takes the side of the buyer. The seller is forced to take returns and the seller eats shipping both ways. I just take returns right away and I am 100 percent honest in my descriptions and pictures. Buyers always wins the return cases, Always.

I just started selling on eBay a few months ago and I just realized I was supposed to be manually inputting the dimensions of my shipping boxes so eBay could properly figure out the cost of shipping. Somehow I was skipping that step so eBay was only charging me for a 3x3x5" box for ever item I was shipping. I correct it now but looking back I've probably shipped 20+ packages using the default measurements, printing the shipping label and I've never had any of them come back for wrong shipping cost?

I watched that camera interaction… I wonder if it would be option to either buy it with a lowball price, or to partner and sell it on eBay for him for a fixed selling commission like 30% fees you keep in the shop. It might not be as much money for you but you take zero risk if it doesn’t sell, could be nice on risky items like this and other items I’m sure you might turn down avoiding the risk. I’m positive you know what you’re doing though man, you’re always killing it. 👍 I’m sure it would be a major headache partnering with risky items, agreeing on price, and holding the money until return time is up (you said 180 days)!
