I just bought another one for 500 dollars but it's been sitting for 10 years. The owner was driving it till he lost his leg, he had just had trans rebuilt. I got to clean gas tanks out, new fuel pumps while I have it apart, need a battery. Clean fuel lines then try to crank it.

That 300 pull the smog pump off they lock up when put in mud , I have a body lift for ease of trans removal & don’t be afraid to overheat that motor I daily drive mine for 6 months with no coolant before I cracked the head

I've pulled transmissions before out of ford F 150's. I had the hardest time getting the lines back on when putting it back together. Also if your torque converter isn't in all the way, you won't make it far before the flywheel will break. Maybe a mile or 2.

I paid 100 bucks for my 88 f150. Ithas a 5 spd manual and is 4 wheel drive. So far it needs a battery and a starter. It is a 302 and I think it has a blown head gasket the exhaust is nice and white and it idles at 3000 rpm but it runs and it is all mine. .

That Ford is rougher than a stucco bathtub. That 300 should make enough torque to be fun though. Buddy of mines dad had one when we were teenagers. We couldn't break it. It may or may not have pulled 250 concrete blocks on a 16 ft trailer. The back bumper was about 4 inches off the ground. It pulled them across town though. Few weeks later we had to replace the rear suspension. His dad never could figure out what happened.

Nah I sold it and it was a woods truck so never bothered with mpg. Thanks for watching
